Description:
Where there’s heat, there’s a smoking-hot firefighter.
No man lights Madison Kelly’s fire quite like Sean Adams, the firefighter she’s been hired to guard during the Boys of Beachville calendar shoot. Though he stars in her hottest, steamiest fantasies, he’s the last person she’s going to tell. An accident left its mark on her, body and soul. But when she catches Sean looking at her like she’s water for a man dying of thirst, she wonders if it’s possible he might see the girl beneath the scars.
Ever since he pulled Madison from the fire that injured her, Sean’s been hot for her. Too bad she clearly has no interest in him—or so he thinks, until he sees a spark in her eyes that says she burns for him as much as he does for her. No more tiptoeing around the matter—a blatant seduction is in order.
Soon they’re igniting the sheets, but come morning Madison’s old fears and insecurities threaten to snuff the flames to ashes. Except Sean’s fuse has been lit, and he has no intention of letting her put it out. Ever.
Warning: First rule for putting out a fire—take a firm grip on the fireman—er, the hose. Second rule depends on what kind of fire we’re talking about.
Cathryn Fox is really heating up the summer and Beachville has never been so hot!
Madison is Sean’s security guard while he is promoting the (wish I could get my hands on one) “Boys of Beachville” calendar shoot. She has wanted to be with him since high school but, after an accident, does not feel that she is in his league. Especially after seeing the kind of girls he attracts. Her insecurities and his determination make this a fun book to read. From the rooftop sex to rocking the boat, this book held nothing back when it came to Sean’s domination, determination and sex! Lots of sex…. Ms. Fox threw in a little mystery which really tied all the pieces together.
If you are looking for a light, fun, summer read that you can do in a day while sitting on the beach wondering which of the hunky guys you are looking at could be your firefighter, this is the book. It picks up at the end of “Good at Being Bad” and keeps getting hotter. I would suggest reading Book 1 but “A Lick of Flame” can be read as a stand-alone. As for me, well, Cole and Haley’s story seems to be next and I can’t wait to see what a soccer player and physical therapist can do together!
This book sounds fabulous! Thanks for the review!
I like the sound of this-thanks Kitty!
Great excerpt and review.. Firemen are hot to begin with. I am sure the relationship will be very combustible.
You know when firemen are involved, there will be excitement.
Would love to read this. Perfect end to summer!
