Description:
Jake “The Snake” Sommers has spent most of his black-ops military career fulfilling a promise he made more than a decade ago. Now he’s finally free to pursue the woman he sacrificed…but hates the very ground he walks on. Michelle Carter has never forgiven Jake for being so cliche as to “love her and leave her.” But when unknown enemies threaten everything she loves, she must do the unimaginable: place her life-and that of her son’s-into Jake’s seductive hands.

Keeping her and her son safe is his final mission. Keeping her heart to herself just might prove futile.

I really can’t say enough about these books. Every time I read a new Black Knights, Inc. novel, I am completely blown away that this is her first series. Ms. Walker has such a remarkable talent for letting these stories play out in your mind. It seems as though you are part of the scenery watching it happen. Rev it Up is book 3 in the Black Knights, Inc. series. If you haven’t had a chance to read the first two books I can’t express to you enough that you’re missing out on an incredible, thrilling, sexy series. They are crammed with extremely hot alpha men who know how to make things happen, and some incredible, strong willed women who know how to push all their buttons.

We continue with this book only a week after book two ends. It picks right up where we left off. This story is packed full of past and present situations. There are more twists, turns, ups, and downs, than a roller coaster ride. I really don’t want to give too much information on the actual story line. I feel as though by doing so it will take away from the suspense and enjoyment you get when you read the book.

Jake is back in town after being gone on assignment for 4 years. He knows that he made mistakes in the past and he has finally neutralized the demons that have been haunting him. He is ready to claim the only girl he has ever loved.

Michelle is doing her best to give her son, Franklin the stability and love that she never had as a child. After losing her husband on a mission in Afghanistan the only thing that is important to her is his happiness. She wasn’t prepared for Jake to show back up in her life and she sure as hell wasn’t prepared for him to be the one to protect her and Franklin from a Psycho killer.

I love these two together. Their chemistry is consuming and their funny, sexy dialog adds an additional kick to the plot. I love that we continue to see the other Black Nights we met in the first few books appear and play a large part in this story. I love the way that she is able to scatter humor throughout every page. Even in the most intense moments, she throws a one liner in there that catches me completely off guard and makes me laugh-out-loud. I really just love everything about this story.

We get teasers all through this book about Rock and Vanessa. I am anxiously waiting on pins and needles to see what is in store for those two.

Even though this is the 3rd book, it does give enough character depth and information for you to be able to read it as a standalone just fine. I don’t really recommend that at all because the first two were just as amazing as this one. It’s fast paced, but not in a way that seems rushed. The action is exciting, the sex is headboard rocking hot and the emotions are real and very intense. It’s everything I look for in a book.
