FREAKING AMAZING!! Yes, Claire Contreras has absolutely done it with the conclusion of this purestdelightawardseries! Leaving us with an extraordinary cliffhanger and book hangover from hell in the first book, I was glad the wait for this one wasn’t forever, even if it felt like it to me.

I have really thought about how to write this review to do it the justice that it so ultimately deserves but I honestly have to tell you that I truly don’t know how I can do that. This book is without words to describe it really, it is one that you have to just read and I really mean that with all the sincerity in the world!!

Ms. Contreras tied two people together that have been through so much; love, heart-break even violence and death that their unique and even sometimes questionable bond is beautiful yet even twisted at times. I couldn’t help but cry and smile for them. Cole and Blake loved beyond something that only they could understand that was strong enough to get them through the darkest of times.

This complex story was written with so many intricate players involved the web was woven well and beautifully that in only her second book Claire Contreras really out did herself. The edge of your seat emotions that you felt poured off the pages the adrenaline the sadness the joy and the happiness that tied everything together was truly an author dedicating herself as well as her characters to those pages. A definite rollercoaster for Blake and Cole but Holy Hell if I didn’t feel it with them also!

Her secondary characters take no backstage either, they are also written with so much personality that it’s not difficult to get attached to each of them as well. If you didn’t in the first book then you will in this one and as new ones are introduced especially Dean and Conner you only find yourself wanting more. Yes, two new bad boys come in! I tell you Ms. Contreras knows how to throw some curves into her stories. This lady is not without her limits and I absolutely love her for it!!

Darkness Before Dawn starts up where There Is No Light In Darkness ended so you must read it first. This is not a standalone but let me tell you this is one series you will not regret reading. These are the only two in the Darkness series however, I do have it on very good authority that Ms. Contreras will be putting up an epilogue that she will be posting on line. You don’t want to miss it! I know I won’t!!!
