Now that the series is over, I am heartbroken.  I finally understand what people mean when they say they have a “book hangover”…. This book was erotic and gritty and I could not put it down. ~ Leigh, Guilty Pleasures

Now that the series is over, I am heartbroken. I finally understand what people mean when they say purestdelightawardthey have a “book hangover”, because I have become so invested in Sloane and Zeth that I am just not ready for my time with them to end. I feel like I have lost a best friend and a lover and a whole world of people I have grown to adore.

From the start, Ms. Hart has weaved a tale of a man so dark and damaged that there was no way I could see how there could ever be a happily ever after for these two people. What reality could ever exist where an enforcer for an organized crime family could ride off into the sunset with a middle class doctor who he had brought into his world? I was drawn into their sordid and fast paced life on the run. The interactions with human traffickers and motorcycle clubs, DEA agents and kidnapped sisters pulled me right in. This book was erotic and gritty and I could not put it down.

And Zeth. I’m not sure any other book boyfriend will ever compare. He was the ultimate anti-hero. He was crass, vulgar, and the quintessential bad boy. He was also protective and a slave to his feelings for Sloane. Watching his transformation from when he was first introduced in the book to the man he was at the end, because of the love of one woman, was sweet and touching and sexy as hell.

Every time a new installment was released, I devoured it. I didn’t take the time to really savor it or think about it, but rather gorged myself until I was finished. Now that the series is complete, I need to take the time to go back and read the entire saga start to finish. I need to leisurely enjoy my time with Zeth and his angry girl, and just sink back into that darkly delectable man and Ms. Hart’s thoroughly amazing story.
