He bet on logic. She bet on love.

Romance author Seven Michaels believes in love to her very core. She has to–not only for herself, but for her readers. So when luxury salesman Blake Turner insults not only her books but the people who read them, Seven’s ready to throw down. How dare a playboy like Blake insinuate romance lovers are full of crap?

He wants proof? Fine. She bets Blake she can make him fall for her by using the rules in her latest novel before the end of the convention, or she’ll denounce love in front of all her fellow authors and fans at the Romance Lovers Convention ball. A dangerous game to be sure, but humiliating Blake is worth the risk.

But when Seven realizes she’s the one who’s being seduced, she’s no longer sure who is playing whom…or whether she’ll have a career when the bet is over.

I’m kinda in love with MK Meredith after reading Seducing Seven because she wrote a book about a atruegemawardromance writer who loves her job, knows what she needs to do to be successful, is grateful for her fans and will defend romance books until her last breath. I know you’ll are wondering why this is such a big deal, well I’ll tell you; lately I’ve read a few books that featured romance writers as a main character and they either thought they were wasting their time, didn’t respect their readers or decided that it was in their best interest to stop writing romance and write a “real” book and for a lover of this genre that doesn’t set well with me!

In Las Vegas for a big book convention romance author Seven Michaels is trying to escape and overzealous male fan who thinks he’s going to get lucky with her over the weekend when she enlists the help of Blake Turner, a random man in the elevator. From that moment, it was game on for these two and when Blake finds out what Seven does for a living she makes him a bet she can make him have feelings for her by the end of the convention.

Seven was a spitfire heroine and I loved that Blake made her act out of character a bit; made her go for it and put herself out there. She never backed down on her profession, she was proud of what she does and her accomplishments as she should be and while a couple of times Blake made her feel bad and had her feeling off balance and a little insecure she held her ground. I liked Blake for the most part and honestly I believe he was a good guy but things moved really fast for him and left him feeling out of control which made him act out and say some really hateful things. I’ll admit there were a couple of times I wanted to bop him upside the head, but thankfully he figured things out and made amends.

So many of their interactions were playful, fun and very, very sexy and it was easy to feel their connection from their first kiss to their last. While they were both hoping to win the bet it became obvious pretty quickly they both were feeling way more than either of them wanted to admit.

Sensual, smart and supremely satisfying don’t miss MK Meredith’s Seducing Seven.
