Dom Maximus Gunn knew the moment he met Mistress Sammie that she was a sub at heart. His job was to convince Samantha that her inner sub still lived but that he was the Dom to handle her. For her part, Sammie had buried her inner submissive at the same time she buried her husband and master, following his death in the attack on the World Trade Center, and she wasn’t about to resurrect her for just anyone. Can Max fight through her defenses and let Samantha be a submissive again, just for him?
Samantha was easy to connect to. She was a little touchy about her role as a Domme, but she was a strong, vibrant woman with a caring heart. Max was a little too perfect, but fun to imagine.
The story line was good, and emotionally compelling and the reasons behind the characters’ actions were well explained. Expect some BDSM, and lots of information about the power exchange of the lifestyle, along with some scorching hot sex scenes.
The book was well written, well researched and a joy to read. It makes a great addition to the Doms of Genesis series.
