With Valentine’s Day around the corner we decided to ask authors for a valentine memory or their idea of the best/worst gift date. There will be a different author featured daily, each author will be giving away one of her books to a commenter on her post. The Grand Prize will be one book from every author, that is 22 books! My best holiday gift idea is something that the man actually had to think about, where he had to consider whether or not I’d like it. I mean, any guy can get you a GC for the mall, but does he know enough to get you one for NY & Co, or Lane Bryant, or maybe the Gap? Any guy can buy you a red sweater, but does he buy you one with full-length sleeves because you hate three-quarter sleeve styles? Any guy can buy you a gold chain, but does he get one that will tangle in your hair or one that will be snag-free?

OH…my hubby is not very imaginative when it comes to gift giving. He usually gives me something that I picked out (and he’s stashed away). Usually for Valentine’s Day, though, he’ll pick out a lovely plant or orchid for my office…he knows I love them. That’s especially sweet for me since he knows I love such things to brighten up my office.
