Book two in the Six Pack Ranch, Rocky Mountain Haven, is ready to roll. Ready to come along for the ride? Doesn’t matter if you don’t usually wear boots and work the land, you’re still totally welcome. It’s kind of the way around here.
Example? The Calgary Stampede.
The Calgary Stampede is a long standing tradition, with a rodeo, an enormous fair and an agricultural show. It’s the time when men and women from all kinds of ranching and farming backgrounds gather together to share time, whoop it up a little and let off steam.
It’s also the time when everyone who’s got a cowboy hat and a pair of boots puts them on and becomes a temporary cowboy, just for the ten days of the event. Stores decorate western, bars go all out, and every night the city of Calgary turns from a blue-collar oil and CEO type town into a red neck smorgasbord party. It’s all in the name of being welcoming and having a good time.
That’s also a bit of what the heroine, Beth, is looking for in the story. While the Stampede makes people more open, she’s hoping for that for her young family on a permanent basis. Not just ten days of acceptance and good times, but a lifetime. Retreating to the small town of Rocky Mountain House is her way of looking for that place. A haven for her heart and soul, a good accepting place for her little boys.
Who she finds is Daniel. Someone more than she was looking for, with enough patience to make her think hard about even areas she’s never considered.
Rocky Mountain Haven is a book about new beginnings and finding acceptance. Finding love. And if there happen to be a few sexy cowboys in there as well? Yeeeeha!
I hope you enjoy Beth and Daniel’s story.
If you’d like to try a taste of the Six Pack Ranch, I have an ebook copy of winner’s choice—either book one in the series, Rocky Mountain Heat, or an ARC of book 3 that will be releasing March 13, Rocky Mountain Desire. Leave a comment to be entered.
It’s the quiet ones that take you by surprise.
Beth Danube’s emotionally abusive husband is dead and buried. So is her heart. It’s no big deal, she has all she wants: her three little boys and a fresh start in a small Alberta town. What she doesn’t want is another man in her life—not now, maybe not ever.
After ten years of unsatisfactory, missionary-position sex, she never expected her libido to reawaken. One look at sex-in-boots Daniel Coleman in a Calgary bar, though, blows the dust off her sexuality.
Sensing an edge of desperation, even fear, beneath Beth’s come-on, Daniel finds himself giving in to the powerful urge to let his normally subdued desires run wild. The lady wants non-judgemental, non-vanilla sex? She’s got it—in and out of the bedroom.
At first, friends with blazing-hot benefits is more then enough. Then she realizes Daniel is burning away the protective fortress around her heart…and the guilty secret she dare not reveal.
Warning: One woman determined to retake control of her life, a man with the single-minded purpose of offering her—and her body—everything she needs. Inappropriate behaviour in barns, change rooms, and oh-my-gawd phone sex with a cowboy.

My sister has three boys, and I’m not sure she would have time for romance,so I would like to see how she accomplishes this. It would also take a special man. Thanks for the giveaway. If I win, I would like book one.
Love me some hot cowboys. Women always find the time for romance. It’s in our genes…LOL

Thanks Didi! 🙂
This book was awesome and I cannot wait for Book 3. I live in Calgary and the description of the Calgary Stampede and the 10 day party is completely accurate! I absolutely love this series, Ms. Arend writes such a sweetly erotic romance that I have fallen in love with Colemans.
