Marrying handsome, wealthy lawyer Lawrence Collins and living in his luxurious Hollywood Hills mansion is a dream come true for twenty-four-year-old Jana. True, she put her studies at a local Bible college on hold in order to wed after a six-month whirlwind romance. Beautiful and vivacious, Jana knows men like Lawrence don’t come along every day, and she vows to be a perfect companion—the ideal wife—to this sexy, powerful man. But at what price?

From her wardrobe and hairstyle to her friends and her choice of church, Lawrence seems to want to change Jana into someone she’s not . . . and soon, the man Jana thought she knew will test her values and her faith with a shocking revelation. Now Jana—the modest, smart, and strong woman who knows what she stands for—must put her trust in God and follow His guiding light out of the darkness of a broken relationship.

  1. I’d like to think I’d never change completely for a man, since I kinda think that if he doesn’t like the person I am why should I be with him? However, I think some change when entering a relationship is unavoidable – but it should not be only one person in the relationship that has to do all the changing.

  2. The book looks interesting; but I would not change myself for any man. This is what you get- don’t like it- don’t let the door hit you in ass on your way out!!!!!!!

  3. This really sounds like an interesting book, I think we do change somewhat in relationships without even realizing but most of the time the changes are subtle and ones we want to make on our own.

Age plays a factor. When I was younger and trying to find out who I was, changing to please someone was a possibility. As I get older, there are certain things where there is no room for compromise.

This sounds like an interesting. I would definitely not change completely in order to be in a relationship with someone. I think adjustments and some changes are necessary in a relationship. If you must change everything about yourself to be in a relationship with someone, then the person you are is not who they wanted to be in a relationship with.

  6. Sounds very interesting! Not sure i could just change everything, but that’s what books are for- to make us experience and do things we would never do. Look forward to reading this one!

  7. Sounds like an enjoyable read. I can’t see myself changing completely for any man. If he doesn’t like me for who I am, then what’s he doing with me ? 🙂

  8. Sounds like a interesting read. I don’t know that I would change for a man, although I think some change when entering a relationship is inevitable.
