Description:
Ruben is now a fully fledged Blaecleah, adopted by Ma and Da, and he loves living out at the ranch. But it’s not enough to keep him home when he loses his heart to Elijah James, the family’s attorney, and a man too afraid to come out of the closet to claim him.

After traveling the world for three years, Ruben is finally ready to return home, but he’s not coming back alone. Widowed and the father of a small baby, Ruben hopes that he has grown up enough for Elijah James to take interest in him because this time, he’s playing for keeps.

Elijah James wanted Ruben since the moment he met the man but the anguish of losing someone he loves still has a hold of Elijah and he’s not ready to put his heart, or the fact that he loves men, on the line for everyone to see. He learned the hard way to keep his desires to himself.

When the past comes back to tear the Blaecleah family apart, will his love for Ruben be enough to pull Elijah from the closet or will he be too scared of losing again to cowboy up?

Charnel’s Thoughts:
Oh family drama at its greatest! I absolutely love the Blaecleah family. Five sons all gay all meeting and falling in love. Awww…what could be better??

This is book 5 and is about the Blaecleah’s adopted son Ruben, Ruben is introduced in book 3.

Book 5 didn’t disappoint. My second favorite book in the series I would say (favorite being book 2 Cowboy Keeper). There’re some surprises I didn’t see coming and the story is full of emotion which is great. Ruben and Elijah have a complicated history that adds intensity to the story and made me want to see them together so badly. There’s also a lot of suspense, which is expected from a Stormy Glenn book, but I found it a bit extreme.

The greatest quote “…Ma Blaecleah, as small as she was, had the ability to bring mortal men to their knees with a single arch of her eyebrow.”

Ma Blaecleah is the greatest book mom ever, she just steals the show; this family is so close, loving and understanding and Ma and Da Blaecleah are the reasons for that, but of course Ma runs everything.

There’re a few hints about the next book in the series that definitely have me intrigued for more.

  1. I had not heard of this series before, but I do love romances with a strong family emphasis. Five gay brothers? Wow!

    Thanks for sharing your review!

  2. Charnel, I have got to read this series. I’m a sucker for a good M/M story and this series sounds like one I need to check out. Thanks for the review and recommendation!

  3. I love Stormy Glenn, but I tend toward the paranormal she writes. I may have to check out this series though, it sounds great!
