Return to Lovett, Texas, the setting of Daisy’s Back in Town, in this smart and sexy new story from Rachel Gibson, the New York Times bestselling author of Rescue Me and the Seattle Chinooks books.
Lily Darlington’s been called crazy in her day-and, yeah, driving her car into her ex-husband’s living room probably wasn’t the smartest move ever made-but the louse deserved it. Now Lily is happily single, and she’s turned it all around. She knows she’s a good mom, a homeowner, and a businesswoman, all wrapped up in one good-looking package.
A package that police officer Tucker Matthews is dying to unwrap. This ex-military man sure doesn’t need another woman in his life. His last girlfriend left him with nothing but memories and a cat named Pinky! But living next door to Lily has been driving him nuts. He dreams about her long blonde hair and even longer legs. And maybe it’s time to go a little crazy . . . and fall in love
Lee’s Thoughts:
The latest short story from Rachel Gibson is just as good as all of her full lenghth books! Lily Darlington has worked for years to undo her image as a crazy woman. Which proved to be very difficult considering she drove her car through her ex husbands living room.
Tucker Matthews is Lily’s new neighbor and a smokin hot Deputy. As if that wasn’t enough of an obstical, he’s also 8 years younger that her. Lily is so afraid that her reputation will come back to haunt her and her son if she gives in to what she’s feeling for Tucker, that she runs the risk of losing him.
Considering I’m a total fan girl when it comes to Ms. Gibson, it shouldn’t be a surprise to find out that I LOVED this short story. Rachel has a gift of being able to write the men in her books so well that you can feel your panties melting away as you read some of their lines.
The romance between Tucker and Lily is white hot from the beginning and this is a MUST READ for all of you Gibson fans out there. I can’t wait until her next full lenghth book in May! Rachel never disappoints!
