Description
Brick is a man who always goes after what he wants, and right now all that he wants is Carly Flanagan. All it took was one look at this lithe beauty and Ben knew that he had to possess her, be a man on a mission to get her all to himself. Being a right winger for the Orlando Vipers is something that has made the days’ worth it for him, but the feelings that Carly bring to mind could make him blow his entire career just for one touch of her. Ben is feelings things that he never has before, and while she could just be the girl of his dreams, it may just take losing her to make Ben realize just how much she means to him.
Carly Flanagan is used to being in charge, whether on her bike or in the bedroom, but Ben is having none of that. Exuding his masculinity with just a look, Carly can feel herself giving over to him and it is the scariest feeling in the world. With each new day these two will have to fight for what they both seem to want. Will it take a freak accident to make Carly realize that Ben could just be the guy for her or will she never be able to give in enough to let this Hockey boy capture her heart?
Rhys’ Thoughts
This is the second book in Lily Harlem’s Hot Ice Series, and she has yet to disappoint me. The sex is hot, the characters are both damaged in a way that makes them so real and approachable, and yet the story was able to flow so quickly that the Epilogue came way too soon. Having read the full three books in this series (hopefully with more to come soon) I can tell you that Lily Harlem is someone to watch for when looking for a great book to have a lazy reading day with. Each book in this series has had characters that are so easy to relate to that they seemed like people you would meet on the street, while at the same time being fantasy enough to rev anyone one’s engine. The Hot Ice Series would make a great edition to anyone’s TBR and I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for her readers in the future.
