Dante and Kara knew each other in high school. She always had a “crush” on him especially after he saved her from a bad boyfriend experience. Dante always knew that he was a Dominant and never acted on his attraction to Kara in high school. Meeting at a friend’s party after several years has brought them together again and things have changed – they are both adults now with adult wants and needs. What happens is a journey through both Dante’s and Kara’s fears of commitment and love and understanding why they feel that way and how they cope with and accept what is inevitable.

This was Book 2 of Eva Berlin’s series and I am very happy that Alec and Dylan from Pleasure’s Edge make appearances in this book and hope that she carries all the characters into Book 3, Temptation’s Edge. Dante and Kara are the center of this story but his relationship with Alec plays a big part in his decisions about Kara and how to handle them and is an important part of the storyline s.

I was overwhelmed with Desire’s Edge. Berlin’s writing is edgy and sensual. Her descriptions of the pain play both at home, in the office and at The Pleasure Dome keep you wanting more and wishing you were Kara. Her characters are strong and in control of what they think they want their lives to be like. What they think their lives should be like. You get to know each character in detail. You go into Subspace with Kara and you feel the intensity of Dante as he is bringing her there. There is no holding back in this book. You know it, you expect it and you experience it.
