Description:

Loving a military man isn’t always easy and sometimes living with him is impossible.

Deke Berg has been in love with Samantha for ten years. From the moment they met, they could never keep their hands off each other. Their marriage was volatile and short-lived, and they were both much too young. Now, though, Deke knows what he wants in life, and Samantha is at the center of his plans. Unfortunately, Samantha is wary of the marriage-espcially to a man who broke her heart.

Sam has always loved Deke. Being a former military brat, she thought she’d been prepared for life as a military spouse. But the long separations were hard, especially dealing with the stranger who returned home. When she asked him to choose, he left and she tried to move on. She doesn’t know if she can handle that pain again, but after spending a night together in Hawaii, it’s impossible for her to ignore him.
Old prejudices and painful memories aren’t easy to overcome, but there is one thing Deke understand: Samantha is his woman, and he will do anything to prove his love and win her back.

Warning, this book contains: Another hard headed military man, a few embarrassing moments, nosey brothers, and two people too stupid to realize they are perfect for each other. It’s Harmless and military, so for your own safety make sure there is ice water nearby. The author assumes no responsibility for overheating the reader.

Possession: A Little Harmless Military Romance Book 2 is my first book by Melissa Schroeder, and yet again thanks to Guilty Pleasures I have found a new author to devour. This is a wonderfully written novella. My biggest pet peeve is when a novella is rushed because of its length and Possession, is did not feel rushed.

This book is a wonderful quick and steamy read!!

Deacon Berg is a Navy SEAL, but something is missing from his life. He has never stopped loving his ex-wife Samantha Walters, and yet again they have run into each other. Each time they have done that in the years since their divorce they can’t keep their hands off of each other. In bed he is the Dom and she is the sub, but out of bed she fights tooth and nail at every turn out of fear brought on from an unhappy childhood. For Sam being a military brat of a father that gave up on life and her family after retiring, makes being in love with a Navy SEAL hard as hell, BUT Deke isn’t giving up on her so easily this time. Deke is given the offer of his dream job teaching new SEALs at Coronado, he gives that all up to take an assignment in Hawaii to be near Sam. But can he get her to accept him, and let go of her fears?? Will she open her heart and life to him, and take a chance on the future with him??

I read this book without reading book one, and it didn’t cause a problem. I will be going back to read book one. I fell for this couple from the beginning, and they didn’t disappoint! I love not only their sexual chemistry, but their passion for everything! Can’t wait to read the rest of this series, because the supporting characters are absolutely great too!! I highly recommend this book!!!

I love SEALs & don’t recall reading any of Melissa’s books before. Going to be adding this to my growing list of summer TBRs. You have introduced me to many authors that I have never read before.
