ARC Review

Description:
It’s not nice to mess with a goddess. She’ll change your life—whether you like it or not.

When Morgan Callahan goes to New Orleans to celebrate her divorce, she expects to get drunk and let her hair down a little. Waking up naked in a strange hotel room complete with a strange man singing in the shower—and the new tattoo on her wrist—definitely wasn’t part of the plan.

Memories of a night of incendiary sex? Oh yeah, those are burned into her brain. But how the tattoo got there is a mystery. Deciding discretion is the better part of valor, she sneaks out and heads directly for the next plane back to Connecticut.

Declan emerges from the shower to find an essential ingredient missing from his tangled sheets. Morgan. But their connection is unmistakable—every time she touches her tattoo, an overwhelming wave of desire brings him to his knees.

There’s only one solution: find her. And convince her their meeting wasn’t mere chance—it’s a once-in-a-millennium chance to free him from a goddess’s curse. And seal them together for the adventure of a lifetime.

Product Warnings
Contains lots of hot vanilla sex steamier than a bowl of gumbo, and a bad boy with an uncanny ability to charm a goddess out of her panties.

After over a thousand years trapped in a curse from one mistake, Declan wants nothing more than to do whatever it takes to find the woman he needs to make everything end. Being everything from a Celtic warrior to a hotel mogul, Declan has just about seen and done it all. But Declan may have bitten off more than he could chew with Ciara though, not only does she seem to be the missing piece to his puzzle, but she is fiercely independent and not at all what he was expecting. Will spilling his secrets to her send her packing or will she understand enough to believe in him for the long haul?

Ciara was just looking for a good time. After signing her divorce papers, her best friend Leigh drug her off to New Orleans for a long weekend. After all the alcohol and loud music things start to get a bit fuzzy. The only things that keep coming to mind are Declan – the gorgeous stranger that stirred her blood with just a look – and that her head was going to explode from this massive hangover. If only her memory didn’t have so many holes in it maybe this whole situation wouldn’t be so hard to wrap her head around. Will running into Declan again be just the thing that Ciara needs to make her life make sense or will it make her run from the stalker guy following her from a spontaneous vacation?

Arianna Hart is a new to me author, and while this book was a little tough to get into – mostly because it isn’t my usual cup of tea – in the end the characters were well written enough that the story as a whole worked really well together. While I wish the story was longer so I could get to know the characters more, at the same time this length was good for just a taste of her writing style. If you are looking for a good quick read, to dabble into some paranormal works than this would be the story for you.
