After a courtship filled with nights steamy enough to thaw the lingering winter chill, Sarah is finally beginning to believe she might have found the one man who can support her career as a sex worker in Amsterdam’s Red Light district. But when she asks around, it’s clear Rick isn’t taking advantage of the freedom their open relationship offers. None of the sexiest girls in the district have serviced him for months.
Afraid of losing the star of her extra-naughty dreams, Sarah confronts her boyfriend about his change of heart. Rick confesses he’s no longer interested in wild times without her. Instead, he’d like to try experimenting with multiple partners, show off his sexy woman and revel in the company of like-minded hedonists. Fortunately, he knows just the place for a debauched experience wicked enough to make even an experienced hooker blush.
A sexual free-for-all is on the menu at one of Amsterdam’s infamous swingers’ clubs, and by the end of the night, Sarah is going to get the surprise of her life.
This is the fourth book in the Red Light series but a first for me. I am an avid Jayne Rylon fan and was thrilled when I got my hands on this hot little read. The series is best when all of the books are read in order so that you can understand the dynamic between Rick and Sarah, but it is easy to follow the story even if you have not read the previous books.
Sarah is a sex worker in the Red Light District. She has been dating Rick for some time now and admits that she is head over heels for him in every way. He appreciates her for who she is and does not expect her to stop working her window regardless of how involved they are. Rick understands that Sarah loves her job and how good it feels for her to help people with her talents. When the two of them are out on a simple date, Rick mentions how he enjoys watching Sarah work her magic. When the idea of a swingers club is presented, the thought becomes more and more intriguing until they simply can’t resist. The only concern? Sarah worries that swinging could change their relationship. Things are perfect and she does not want to ruin perfection with jealousy and surprise emotions that could surface if they share each other. Reassuring Sarah that his love is unconditional, the two venture out for a night of pleasure, fantasy and fulfillment as they enter the Love Boat and a potential free for all sex fest!
I enjoyed the story but did find it a little slow to start for a good reason. Jayne goes into explicit detail about everything in the setting and really places her readers in the mindset of Sarah. Elaborating to this extent takes time that can appear to drag a little at first. The story picks up the pace as Sarah and Rick move into more of the plot and why Rick has gone through so much trouble to set up a perfect day out for Sarah. From that point on, things stay at a steady burn followed by a flaming hot finish that will make it worth the wait. The sex is descriptive and honest. It is easy to picture what it is like as a first time swinger that might be hesitant to join in the fun and how quickly inhibitions can be lost when couples start to get comfortable and enjoy each other’s pleasure.
After reading this book I am anxious to try the rest of the series. It is a unique story line that provides a quick fix when you want a fun and sexy read.
Alyn… Read the rest of the series in order.. They are quick delightful reads! You will love them!
I loved this series. Its straitforward and honest in its writing. Sarah and Rick are a joy to read. I’m sorry that the series ended.
