Is it possible she’s finally found Her Kind of Man?

Ross Williams has been in love with Kara Cochrane since they were kids so when Kara’s fiancé Brandon Miles cheats on her and calls off their wedding—Ross steps in to rescue the damsel in distress.

A heartbroken Kara just wants to get on with her life and hunky Ross provides her with a definite distraction—that is until she starts falling for him. Big time.

But a devastating family secret threatens to destroy everything that Kara holds dear—including her relationship with Ross.

Her Kind of Man introduced me to another new author, Elaine Cantrell. I have to say I enjoyed the heck out of this story!! Even though there were times I wanted to slap the gal a time or two. I don’t know if it is because I recognized some of my own short comings or if she was just spoiled. But with everything she went though I think I wouldn’t have responded any better.

Kara is planning the wedding of her dreams when it all falls apart. Her high school sweetheart rips the heart from her chest and she turns to the last person anyone ever expected. Ross has been in love with Kara since he was 8 years old, but before now she didn’t really know he existed. Kara is confused by the fact that Ross’s kisses ignite something in her she has never felt before, but a part of her wants to hold onto the pain that was caused by the two people she never thought would ever hurt her.

Kara makes a discovery about her family that strips away everything she ever knew to be true and in her struggles with that Ross is again her rock. Poor blind Ross sees that she enjoys her time with him and knows that he loves her with all that he is. So he asks her to marry him and boy does that lead them down a tough road. But I have to say that although the journey is beyond bumpy, this is a beautiful love story.

I enjoyed this book a lot. This is not a book with smoking sex scenes, but a great story of two people growing to have a love to fight for. I love stories like this where you just love the hero and heroine despite some flaws in their character. They seem more realistic. It’s those flaws in us as humans that make us individuals, and I could relate to them more this way. I highly recommend this book!!! A great book to curl up with on a rainy day.… 🙂
