Description:

As their passion catches fire, so does a killer’s vengeance…

In the sleepy town of Rancho Del Cielo, a killer arsonist is targeting firefighter Josh Whittaker’s friends, family and most importantly…the love of his life.

As fires encircle Josh’s life, his troubles mount. His best friend is dead. The woman he’d give his life to protect is pregnant. Secrets he’s held on to for years are spilling free. If he could just find his equilibrium, he could pull himself together. What he doesn’t know is that someone is dead-set on tearing everything he knows apart.

Losing a lifelong friend has finally awakened Miranda McTiernan to how much of her life has been spent in limbo. Now that she’s pregnant, a dream she never believed could happen, the reality isn’t quite what she’d expected. Instead of being happy and secure, she’s scared and hiding a secret that could ruin the future she’s worked so hard to create.

Assuming she has a future…

Product Warnings
Includes a heroine out to get her man, a hero determined to do the wrong thing for the right reasons, and hormones gone wild. Reading with cookies recommended.

Love Me Tomorrow is the second in Dee Tenorio’s Rancho Del Cielo series. As lighthearted as the first book was, this one has a far more serious plot putting everyone in town in danger or so it seems. So while this is a romance, there are some pretty intense and heavy scenes during this story as well.

Josh Whittaker and Miranda McTiernan have a long and varied history. They’ve been friends, they’ve been lovers, they’ve fought, they haven’t spoken for periods of time, but they both know the other will always be there when needed. Miranda has made Josh aware she wants a child. Josh thinks a child is the last thing Miranda needs. When their friend, Danny Randall, is killed in a fire, they end up turning to each other and Miranda winds up pregnant.

This story is a very emotional read. Both Josh and Miranda have dealt with some horrible things in their past. Things that have made them the people they are and shaped the way they view life in general. During this book, they have ups and down over and over. It truly is a roller coaster ride and I have to admit for awhile I was wondering if they’d ever figure their relationship out. Unlike some books when the characters have this back and forth, I didn’t get frustrated with these two. They both had some very valid reasons and I really couldn’t fault them for how they felt or their actions.

Add in fires, a bombing, an investigation into Danny’s death, hospitalizations, and Danny reaching out to his two friends from the grave and this book became way more than I ever expected. Love Me Tomorrow is well written; these characters reached in and grabbed my heart, the dialog is engaging, the plot entertaining as well as shocking, and the ensuing love story wonderful. This may not be your typical love story but you will not be disappointed reading it. In fact, I think after reading this one you’ll want to read more by this compelling author.

  2. Thanks for the review and warning about it being emotional. I have to be in the mood for a book with lots of emotion. I do love them though.
