Some rules just beg to be broken.
Sam Bradford knows a lot about women and a lot about sex. Considering how much time he’s spent on both, it’s no wonder he’s regarded as something of an expert. So, when two women set him up with their sister for one purpose only—show her what great sex can really be like—he’s definitely willing and able.
With the right tools Danika Steffen can fix anything—even her needs in the bedroom. But her sisters know that if they want her to have a happily ever after, they need to show her that there are very good reasons to let a guy closer than arm’s length.
This should all be a piece of cake for the notorious playboy. It won’t even violate his one-night-only rule. Until a date with Danika Steffen ends not in her bed, but with a trip to the ER.
Danika may have a broken wrist, but Sam’s the one suffering…an intense case of guilt. And instead of doing things to her, he only wants to do things for her. Which would drive her crazy if not for the sneaking suspicion that Sam needs a little TLC too. And damned if she doesn’t want to be the one to give it…
Product Warnings
I was bound and determined not to like Sam’s story. I mean let’s face it, in book one (Just Right) he comes across as an aloof and detached man-ho. No other way to put it and yes, he can claim up one wall and down the other that the women he has sex with (because GAWD forbid he actually date) “know the score” but we know he’s left a trail of broken hearts behind. It just happens because women and men are different and they approach sex differently. However, throughout this story he shows time and time again that he is so much more than his family, friends and the world sees. Erin does a spectacular job of making Sam Bradford not only likeable but the kind of guy every girl hopes will come into her life.
Sam Bradford and Danika Steffen are basically set up. Danika’s sisters are concerned that she’s never had a great lover, one who she can achieve an orgasm with. Sam is on her sister Carmen’s “short list” of available candidates to help her with that problem. Sam’s brother in law, Ben, has helped get him to the bar to overhear what has to be one of the more outrageous and fun conversations ever. Soon Sam has decided he’s going to be the guy who helps Danika with her orgasm problem.
never had a great lover, one who she can achieve an orgasm with.
I’ll admit I immediately felt sorry for Danika on several levels; first off never having an orgasm with a man, secondly having really meddling sisters, and third being set up to talk about in a bar of all places. I’m truly surprised she didn’t leave running and screaming from the building and I think she would have had it not been for Sam. The minute Sam and Danika meet, the sparks are there. Danika is thinking happy, happy, joy, joy…this might be the guy to help me with my problem. Sam is thinking, what the hell and I know I can help her but I didn’t expect to feel anything.
When Danika ends up with a broken wrist helping Sam during their first evening together, Sam feels so bad that he decides he needs to take care of her. He basically ends up moving in with her and they wind up spending a lot of time talking. Both Sam and Danika have some major issues about life and love. I very much enjoyed watching them open up and talk to each other about their past lives. I especially found Sam’s story intriguing and loved it when his little sister pegged him straight on about it. I also loved how Danika felt protective of Sam and felt she had to take up for him because she felt no one took him seriously.
As with the first book, the interactions between the Bradford siblings and their friends were realistic and interesting. I love these characters and feel so “at home” with them. I was sometimes astonished and often amused by the growing relationship between Sam and Danika. Just Like That is a well rounded story of two people who set out with one purpose in mind only to find a greater purpose along the way. I’m so glad I decided to re-read this series; I’ve fallen in love with these amazing people all over again!

I love this series and Sam even if he was a man-ho before Danika! Thanks!

Thanks guys for stopping by! I’ve had such a fun time re-reading and reliving this series. Erin is a fantastic writer and her characters seem like people you’d want to go grab a drink with and talk. I love that! Enjoy!!
I adored this book! 😀 Just like you I doubted I could like Sam a nonstop commitment phobic playboy, but Erin really showed that he had depth and tender feelings and the chemistry between him and Danika was scorching! I loved their story 😀
ps. the 1st book in the series is Just Right not Just My Type (which is Sara’s story and Book #3)
Thank you for the catch =)
Stella, thanks so much for catching my mistake!! I had re-read them all back to back and I guess the titles were jumbled in my head. I appreciate your help!
