Description:
Secretly wanting her—no problem. Her not-so-secretly wanting him—big trouble.

There’s only one problem with the woman Jason “Mac” Gordon wants: his best friend’s little sister is off limits. Way off limits, and too young and innocent for the likes of him. From past experience, he’s learned to hide his not-so-nice preferences from the nice girls he seems to attract. That definitely includes the woman he’s always thought of as a sister. At least until recently.

Sara Bradford always gets what she wants—which is partly Mac’s fault. After all, he helped spoil her. So she has no intention of taking his no for an answer on anything—least of all his refusal to sleep with her. He thinks she’s too innocent? Fine. She’ll simply get un-innocent and show Mac that she wants him—the good, the bad and the nipple clamps.

When Mac’s plan to drive her away works too well, he’s forced to follow her to a tropical paradise, determined to make sure she doesn’t find her wild side with anyone but him. Once she gets a real taste of what he likes, he’s sure everything will go back to normal.

That’s until he discovers a slight kink, er, flaw in his logic.

We had a pretty big hint in book 2 (Just Like That) that we’d be getting the story of Sara Bradford and Mac Gordon soon. So, it wasn’t a huge surprise when Just My Type opens up with Sara planning on seducing Mac. What is surprising is the somewhat over the top and mean move Sam pulls to make sure Sara understands that he’s not good for her.

Mac has known Sara since she was a very young girl. Sara decided years ago she loved Mac and about 5 years ago Mac started noticing Sara as a woman and not his best friend’s little sister. Thing is Sara is pretty innocent and Mac, well Mac has enjoyed multiple partners and some pretty kinky sex over the years. So naturally Mac decides that he’s not what Sara needs which makes her even more determined to be what he wants and needs.

Sara has pretty much been treated like a princess by her siblings and her brother’s friends all of her life. In fact, Mac enjoys calling her princess. She’s never had a chance to spread her wings and she’s never had to do anything for herself she didn’t want to do. At first I really didn’t like Sara, she comes across as spoiled and self centered but during this story she has a metamorphosis of sorts and grows into a very likeable and resilient person.

Mac is a genuinely nice person but he’s blind where Sara is concerned. He makes some critical errors in dealing with her and even though he was trying to make a point, he was pretty mean about it. He really means well but there was a point where I wanted to bop him on the head.

The best part of this story was watching Sara come to terms with who she is. Despite the fact that she is 26 years old, this was almost a coming of age story for her. I very much enjoyed watching her change and grow and become the woman that no one thought she could be. Mac also did some growing and it was painful to watch at times because he really struggled with his expectations and emotions.

Overall I enjoyed Just My Type, it isn’t my favorite in the series but I wouldn’t have missed reading it for the world. I felt good about where Sara and Mac were headed at the end and I look forward to the next book in hopes we’ll see how they are doing. Erin Nicholas continues to produce interesting stories, fun characters, and humorous dialog making The Bradford series one you don’t want to miss.

Good review! Lol at wanting to bop Mac on the head…I often want to do that with some heroes when they act like jerks
