Description:
It’s been months since Wes Dumont laid eyes on Jayce Santana. Since Jayce kissed him and then left town without a word. Wes tried hard to put the tattered pieces of his heart back together, but another failed relationship makes it clear he’s nowhere near over Jayce. Now Jayce is back, once again tilting Wes’ world on its axis and setting his blood boiling. All the anger and resentment doesn’t hide the hunger, but Wes has been burned before and he’s grown wary of Jayce’s intentions.

Jayce has been running, from Wes and himself, denying the future he sees in the depths of Wes’ eyes. His past still haunts him, but he’s back, ready to fight. Ready to claim Wes the way he should have. Only Wes isn’t making things easy. Both men just may go up in flames before Jayce convinces Wes he’s playing for keeps.

Make Me Burn by Avril Ashton is burning hot from the beginning to the end!! The explosive chemistry between these two men almost melted my iPad.

It has been six months since Jayce laid a kiss on Wes that stole not only his breath but his heart too, and he still isn’t over the way he walked away. He was dating Dominic, but something was missing. Dom just wasn’t Jayce.

Jayce is finished with the undercover assignment that took him away from Wes, and he is here to investigate a case involving Dom and his father. Since the moment he met Wes he has been haunted by him, and he feels guilty for leaving without explaining why he had to. But he is also angry that Wes has moved on. He has scene the surveillance photos, and he is here now to stake his claim on Wes.

I absolutely loved this book!!! It didn’t feel as short as it was, because it didn’t have that rushed feel in the least bit. This book grabbed me from the first sentence, and didn’t let go until the last word. I loved that Jayce had to work to get back into Wes’s life. The emotions are so well written that I felt connected to these two on a personal level. I will definitely be reading Avil’s other books!! I loved the writing style of this book!! I hope y’all enjoy it as much as I have!!!

Avril, You’ve peaked my interest with your review on this book. I hadn’t thought I’d explore the thought of reading a M/M romance novel, but after reading your post, I’m hopping on the train. I’ll let you know my thoughts when I’m done.

Can’t believe I haven’t read any Ashton yet…I have to remedy that! I’d imagine this won’t work as a standalone, but even so…it sounds great!

Thanks for the review. Not sure why Jayce was upset that Wes had tried to move on after left with no explanation.

Mary to tell that would have been a spoiler.. I struggle with telling details like that because I feel it would take away from the enjoyment of the book. 🙂

I haven’t read any of this author’s work before so I appreciate your introduction to her work!

Too many books in the m/m genre feel a bit rushed. I’m going to have to read this one just for the joy of relaxing into it a little! 😛
