Description:
Three people. One erotic fantasy. And a twentieth wedding anniversary like no other.

Jeannie longs for the return of passion in her marriage. Jake craves new excitement in the form of another man. Pothos is one of the erotes and an aspect of Eros, the ancient Greek god of love, and this couple’s distinctive yearning has called to him. By the power of the erotes he intends to rekindle the flame of Jake and Jeannie’s passion in a night of desire that will be the ultimate platinum anniversary gift.

And when the gods of love decide your marriage needs a boost, they never do it by halves.

Platinum Passion is the first in this series of novella-length stories about the erotes: Pothos – god of sexual yearning, Himeros – god of sexual desire, and Anteros – god of unrequited/requited love.

The erotes are aspects of the primal god, Eros, and the children of Aphrodite.

Her influence will be evident throughout the Gods of Love series. But the celebration of the ancient Greek gods of love begins in Platinum Passion with the gorgeous Pothos, god of sexual yearning.

Jeanne and Jake have been married for 20 years. With a family, a new business, and hectic schedules, the two have not found time for each other in months. It is so bad, that Jake is already asleep in their bed, and he never once said happy anniversary to Jeanne. She just wished they could have that passion back in their marriage. Jeanne remembered the amazing night on the beach during their honeymoon and hoped that one day they could go back to that place and rekindle their lost spark. It is at that moment when she thought of that night that a beautiful man appeared in her bedroom. Pothos, a god of seduction stood before her pledging to fulfill her every fantasy. Whisking her away to that very beach she had dreamt of. Jeanne can’t help but be attracted to Pothos but wishes she could share her fantasy with her husband. When he appears on the beach with her, the two explore their darkest desires and work together with Pothos to find the spark they have been searching for.

This was a cute story for a quickie but at times it seemed a bit cheesy to me. I can identify with Jeanne in that it is difficult to find time for romance when work and children keep you so busy. The premise of the story is one that many would enjoy for that reason but when the scene moves to the beach and the romance takes place, it gets somewhat spoiled with the entrance of frolicking dolphins. I understand that the author was trying to include the influence of the gods and the ocean but the dolphins seemed to ruin the moment a little for me. When two men are getting ready to have a heated sexual encounter with a woman, the last thing I picture is dolphins watching the action. That being said, I appreciated the fact that the author wasn’t afraid to show the fear that some couples have of sharing their darkest desires, and that the pair is able to explore those desires in an effort to strengthen their relationship.
