Description:
For the five sexy rock gods of Sole Regret, finding love is easy, keeping it is hard.

Melanie has no desire to meet the members of the rock band, Sole Regret, but her groupie of a best friend gets them both backstage and then rushes off with the band’s lead singer. Left alone at an after party with a bunch of scary tattooed and pierced metal-heads, sheltered Melanie is relieved when the only normal-looking guy in the room insists on keeping her company.

By the time Melanie discovers that Gabe is the band’s drummer and not as normal as she assumed, she has already made a complete fool of herself. She can’t help but be interested in him, not as a rock star, but as the sexiest man she’s ever encountered. Strangely attracted to his hidden tattoos and body piercing, she wonders what it would be like to spend a night with a bad boy.

Gabe is more than willing to show sweet Melanie there’s more to him than meets the eye. All she has to do is try him. Will they only share a single night of passion? Or will their hearts entangle as quickly as their bodies?

Try Me is the first erotic novella in Olivia Cunning’s One Night with Sole Regret series.

First, I want to welcome Olivia to TEXAS, we’re so glad to have you! Last year I got ahold of Olivia’s Sinners on Tour series (Backstage Pass #1, Rock Hard #2). I’ve been salivating for another one ever since. To keep us lucky readers entertained while we’re waiting for release day, she’s publishing a series of novellas about whole new band called Sole Regret.

Ms. Cunning has writing about musicians and their adoring fans down to an art. I feel like I’m back stage at a live show every time I read one. Clashing personalities with big egos and bigger *gifts*! The sex is always smokin’ and the band never disappoints.

Try Me begins with Melanie reluctantly attending a out of town show with her BFF Nikki, against her better judgement. Once they manage to get backstage she’s left to make due while her friend tries to get up close and personal with the lead singer. Melanie’s a straight laced, accountant, just along for the ride, so she’s got no interest in fawning after a bunch of delinquent rock stars, right?

Gabe’s boy next door outward appearance gives Melanie a false sense of comfort and she’s making small talk to pass the time. Once Gabe’s true rock star identity is revealed, she’s already hooked. He’s the drool worthy dummer for Sole Regret, and she can’t get enough of his sexy smile. That and Gabe “Force” Banner has the rhythm and the mind a girl can really appreciate.

I’m always worried a novella won’t give me the same connection to the characters that I get with a novel. Try Me gives us the same intensity you’d feel with a full length novel, at a much quicker pace. A hot and heavy one night stand that manages to still feel like a romance. There’s more to the plot than a quick romp in the sheets, and that’s the secret, I think, to engaging readers in a short story.

Ms. Cunning has managed to crank out a whole new series starring a to-die-for sexy band of Rockers. I can’t wait to get my next fix of Sole Regret. I find it especially sweet she’s planning to release her One Night With Sole Regret series in more frequent installments than the Sinners On Tour series. THANK YOU Olivia! Psst…now when do we get Take Me???

One Night with Sole Regret is a new series of rock band Novellas by Olivia Cunning.  If the first story is any indication of the series as a whole we are in for another fun, entertaining, and wild ride with the yummy guys in this new band.

Gabe, or Force, as he’s known to all his adoring fans has never had any problems filling his bed but when sassy Melanie turns down a three-some from the band’s lead singer Gabe is totally intrigued by her.  Melanie cares nothing about rock stars or bands and reluctantly ends up backstage with her groupie friend after the concert.  When Gabe introduces himself he has on a ball cap, regular clothes, and looks like a normal guy – unbeknownst to her he’s the band’s drummer.  Because of something that happened in her past, she’s always been leery of guys with tattoos and piercings.  So, it’s a good thing she gets to know and feels completely comfortable with him before she finds out he’s actually in the band, has a Mohawk, lots of tats, and piercings.  Gabe is funny, adorable and sexy as sin and Melanie is confident and sweet and they make a great pair.

Hopefully you are already a fan of her other series, Sinner’s on Tour, so you know when I say Olivia Cunning knows how to write an erotic story with likeable characters we fall in love with and fun, engaging dialog with laugh out loud moments.  Try Me is the same great story telling and dialog, just a smaller package.  The author does a great job introducing us to all the band members and we get a glimpse of their personalities and quirks which only leaves you wanting more.  I will anxiously await each addition!

Enjoy everyone!!

You’ve convinced me, I MUST try “Try Me”. I haven’t read any of this author’s work yet but I will be looking her and her books up tonight. I am a lot like Melanie so I can appreciate how overwhelmed she could be in that situation. And I love that it seems like it works out pretty well for her too. That makes me want to read this story even more!! Thank you for bringing it to my attention!!
