We first meet Carly Abbot in Champagne and Chaps. She’s Sabrina’s best friend and now the maid-of-honor at her wedding. Dillon Cameron wants Carly in the worst way but she’s dating a friend of his and won’t cross that line. After talking with Mike, the road to Carly is paved…..with a deck of cards!

This installment of the Rough and Ready series started off really light-hearted and fun. Dillon wins Carly in a card game after Wyatt and Sabrina’s wedding. What happens from here will have you smiling, laughing, feeling oh-so-sorry for Dillon and then cheering Carly on when she finally gives in to Dillon. The past comes back to haunt Carly and Dillon will not give up until he has Carly back – heart, soul and body! And, gawd, when she finally gives in to him…..get a fan and a cold drink….sit back and enjoy the fun! If this is “taking it slow” then the slower the better for me.

The intrigue in Satin and Saddles does surround Carly’s past and Cheyenne did a wonderful job in incorporating it into the story. She has you guessing as to what is going to happen next and how Carly is going to get away from her stalker. Dillon is her champion and will stop at nothing to make sure she is back with him and safe. Loved the ending and how he proposed. Yea, there is an HEA!
