Description:
Deep in the heart of urban New York, life keeps rolling with the heavy-weight punches for middle aged father of one, George Bethers.
Buried beneath the daily crap pile of his prison equipment delivery business, the dreaded reminder of Valentine’s Day rolls around all too soon, surprising him.
Stuck on what to buy his wife, Kate, George enlists the help of his rich and very narcissistic non best friend, John who doesn’t help matters and the advice of a famous talk show host flashing ‘the infamous book’ that caught the nation, in choosing the perfect gift.
Deliriously happy with his purchase, Kate catapults their comfortable once-a-month screw along with their marriage into unknown territories.
Armed with spatulas and a book for guidance a series of unfortunate repercussions and painful accidents ensue, when a man is introduced to the Fifty Seven Shades of Shit that BDSM had to offer.
George and Katie are married with a child. They are an average couple living their life. Katie definitely runs the show in their relationship. Hilarity ensues when Katie reminds George that Valentine’s Day is coming up.
We experience his panic of what to get her; how he came up with the idea of the now infamous 50 Shades series; and how the couple decides to put the books to good use. Oh, and that’s when it especially gets comical!
The witty sarcasm had me laughing out loud from the beginning to the end. At times, there were tears falling down my face from the laughter. All of the characters are funny. No, not just funny, they are hilarious!!
I enjoyed this novella immensely. A light and easy read, it is the first of a new series by Mr. Cook. The second installment is due out this month (September). I can’t wait to find out what happens next. I’m sure I’ll be LMAO!!
