Description:
Against some attacks, the only hope is to come out and meet the play.

Last year, Jami Richter had no plans, no goals, no future. But that’s all changed. First step, make up for putting her father through hell by supporting the hockey team he manages and becoming an Ice Girl. But a photo shoot puts her right in the arms of Sebastian Ramos, a Dartmouth Cobra defenseman with a reputation for getting any woman—or, as the rumours imply, man—he desires. And the powerful dominant wants her…and Luke. Getting involved in Seb’s lifestyle gives her a new understanding of the game and the bonds between players. But can she handle being caught between two men who want her, while struggling with their attraction to one another?

Luke Carter’s life is about as messed up as his scarred face. His mother is sick. His girlfriend dumps him. When he goes to his favorite BDSM club to blow off some steam, his Dom status is turned upside down when a therapeutic beating puts him in a good place. He flatly denies being submissive–or, even worse, being attracted to another man. He wants Jami but can’t have her without getting involved with Sebastian. Can he overcome his own prejudices long enough to admit he wants them both?

Caught between Luke and Jami, Sebastian Ramos does everything in his power to fulfill their needs. His two new submissives willingly share their bodies, but not their secrets. When his own past comes back to haunt him, the fragile foundation of their relationship is ripped apart. As he works to salvage the damage done by doubt and insecurity, he discovers that Jami is hiding something dangerous. But it may already be too late.

Warning
This ebook contains material not suitable for readers under 18. It also contains scenes that some may find objectionable, including hockey violence, BDSM, ménage sex, bondage, anal sex, sex toys, multiple partners, woman love, and man love including, but not limited to an erotic shower scene. Readers are advised not to attempt reenacting the scene while reading the ebook.

We may not get to see the men that we love on the ice this season, but at least we still have them on the pages that we turn. This series just keeps getting better and hotter! With the third installment of the Dartmouth Cobras series we get more sexy hockey players, more BDSM play, and we finally get some sweat inducing, scorching hot MMF scenes.

This book mainly focuses on the relationship between Sebastian, Luke and Jami. These three are all in different places in their lives. Their journey that we follow as they come together and ultimately learn to trust and love is breathtaking. This book is loaded with the characters that we have met and have fallen in love with from the first two books.

I can honestly say that Sebastian is by far my favorite book Dom! He is confident and controlling and very in tune with his lovers, but he has a very sexy empathetic side that lets his insecurities creep in every once in a while and that is what makes him seem so real, believable and consuming.

The only way to describe Luke is to say he is incredibly lost. He is pulled between letting go and caving into his ultimate desires, or to go on pretending he is something he is not. He is forced to acknowledge his sexuality as well as his submissive tendencies. Not only is he worried about what the public will think of him, he has the team to consider and his mom. I loved the way his story was told. It was very emotional and brought a realism aspect that any professional athlete would have to face in the same situation.

Jami is trying to get her life back on track. She has made some bad decisions in her past. She has owned her problems and is ready to start rebuilding her life. What she wasn’t ready for was rebuilding it with two hunky hockey players. One of the things I really admired about Jami was that she wasn’t “broken” and needed a Dom to fix her, she just needed him to show her how to accept and embrace the type pleasure her body needed. Sebastian and Luke are able to see the woman hiding behind the shell of her life and force her to let go, enjoy, and have some fun. She learns who she is and who she wants and she develops into a very strong character. Her voyage into this discovery is not an easy one and she has a lot to overcome, but by the time we get to the last pages she has conquered her past and is ready for her life to finally begin.

Ms. Sommerland has a distinctive talent in engaging her readers. She pulls you in and holds you completely captive as you live within each scene. As with all of the books in this series, the BDSM aspect is very real and very edgy. It will push your comfort level if this isn’t your type of normal reading. Go into it knowing what you will get and I promise you will fall in love with this mind-blowing series.

Thank you for the review. To be quite honest..I read the first Cobras book and didn’t enjoy it. Too many character for me personally to keep track of. And frankly seemed a little farfetched for even my imagination. But I have read good reviews for the second book and now this one..so I have to give it a second chance.

    Thanks!

Jessie~ I will be honest and tell you that I did enjoy Game Misconduct, but I loved Defensive Zone and Breakaway. In my opinion they keep getting better. I know these books are loaded with a lot of characters. It can get confusing at times how they switch from being referred to by last names by the players and first names by everyone else. That is just bringing the realism of a team into the story. In the front of the Breakaway, Bianca has posted a team roster so you can refer to that if you need to. I thought it was a great idea. Thanks for stopping by and don’t give up on this series. I really think book 2 and 3 will change your mind. Hugs! Rhayne

[panting] Hockey! Hockey menage!! Hockey MANLOVE!!! Oh, my, I am agog. Even if the #$%@ NHL lockout weren’t depriving me, I’d be all over this anyway. Thanks so much for the review…

Trix~ Trust me I know just how you feel about the NHL. It’s a mess. Enjoy the book. It’s a great way to supplement your hockey fix 🙂 Rhayne

I have not read any of the books written by this author. Having read the excerpt, I will have to do so. A menage relationship must be quite complicated. Two in a relationship is challenging enough.

  5. I’ve not read this series yet, but want to. I just have to get in the frame of mind to have my comfort zone blown to hell. So many participants in each book =)

    Awesome review!
