I love the visuals this book created in my mind, I love the fantastic settings of both Miami and Hawaii, I love the hot as hell bisexual ALPHA heroes with their Irish accents, and I absolutely love the strong female characters. ~ Guilty Pleasures

alhfDescription:
What starts out as simple fantasy among friends, becomes an overwhelming need that none of them can deny.

Maura Dillon has always been someone who lived life on her own terms. From the time she in college she knew she had different needs than most of her friends. But she never thought she would find herself torn between two very sexy men, or that they would want to add her to their relationship.

Zeke and Rory have known each other for years. Their casual relationship has spanned a decade, but now that they are living together things are on a whole other level. Add in their mutual attraction for Maura and things are just getting out of hand.

Rory understands their desires and suggests a week in Hawaii. No rules, no limits, no regrets. But as their nights are filled with unimaginable erotic pleasure, there is someone lurking in the shadows. Someone who wants revenge, and will stop at nothing to succeed.

Warning the book contains the following: Two sexy men who are hot for each other and the heroine, more Hawaiian scenery, a Dom who thinks he can control everything, two lovers who know he can’t, and scenes that push even Harmless Addicts over the edge.

I sometimes wonder if authors have a link to my brain because sometimes I read a book and I wonder how in the hell they know just what I want to read. Such is the case with A Little Harmless Fantasy by Melissa Schroeder. There are so many things I love about this book; two men whopurestdelightaward aren’t afraid to be affectionate with each other, a woman who understands them and likes to watch (yeah, I’m all over that), a deep love and respect between one of the men and the woman, the beginning of a D/s relationship between the other man and the woman, and a complicated but growing relationship between all three. When you add in the amazing and beautiful love scenes between them all, this is one spectacular book.

Maura Dillon is a smart, sassy and damaged. She also has a very overprotective big brother and a caring but sometimes scary sister in law! She’s also having a hard time not fantasizing about her ex-lover Zeke O’Brien and his current lover Rory McAllister. To say the two play into her ultimate fantasy is a joke, but she tells herself she needs to be smart about it until Rory suggests they play while on a week-long trip to Hawaii.

Zeke O’Brien has quite the past but he finally feels like his life is settling down and making sense, except for one piece. He’s in love with his ex-girlfriend and his current lover. He fully admits he loves Maura and Rory and while he can’t be what Maura needs in the bedroom, he knows Rory can. He wants what is best for her and he thinks they can be it, but convincing the two people he loves most in the world of that is another story. He also has to contend with his business partner and Maura’s brother, Conner. It’s a challenge but that’s something he’s never backed down from before and he doesn’t plan on doing it now.

Rory McAllister is hard headed, stubborn, and has scars from his past life. He’s never been able to commit and although he’s had an on again, off again relationship with Zeke for years. They’ve often added a woman to the mix for a night or two and he knows how important Maura is to Zeke. A trip to Hawaii is the perfect opportunity to make them all happy. He never suspects to have growing feelings for a woman especially one who’s in love with the man he loves.

These three have a very complicated and extremely volatile relationship that is impacted by family, personal safety threats, and trust issues. I very much enjoyed watching them work through the struggles of being three in a relationship, their growing feelings for one another, and figuring out how they all fit together. I also really loved how Jillian (Conner’s wife and Maura’s sister in law) was there to help Maura sort out her feelings and give her husband and Zeke, and Rory a virtual slap upside the head when they needed it. I am a lover of strong women characters and Jillian fits that description perfectly, the thing is Maura proved over and over in this book she’s equally as strong in more ways than anyone gives her credit for.

I have enjoyed the Harmless Series from the first book but this one really is one of my top three. I love the visuals this book created in my mind, I love the fantastic settings of both Miami and Hawaii, I love the hot as hell bisexual ALPHA heroes with their Irish accents, and I absolutely love the strong female characters. A Little Harmless Fantasy is an absolute must for anyone who enjoys a good ménage story with complicated but adoring characters who find love when they least expect it.
