Honestly, I think the hardest review of all is of a book that you absolutely love. You just want to yell “READ THIS BOOK” and start telling the story from start to finish. So, with that said “READ THIS BOOK”! This is definitely my “feel good” read of 2013. A book that I will go back to and read over and over just to smile! Yes, the title alone had me intrigued and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Really, Numbnuts?

Bryony Mulligan, aka “Chubbs” has known Benedict “Numbnuts” Petruska since she was a teen-ager. Well, a fat teen-ager. She gave him his nickname after he was kicked in the balls by his then girlfriend. After a failed relationship, she decides to reinvent herself – off to Paris she goes! She returns as a confident, well-rounded woman who knows what she wants and is willing to work to get it. She just didn’t realize that it was Benedick Petruska that was going to be key to her success or the love of her life. Of course she has always had a crush on the man who nicknamed her “Chubbs” and now the new and improved Bry is willing to have just one night of unrestrained sex with him to get him out of her system.

Ben has always gotten what and who he wanted. He’s finally gotten his hands on Bry and she thinks it’s just for one night. HA! Not if he has anything to do with it … it’s time to take control and get her to see things his way. Hot, steamy sex with Bry is not going to be a one night thing. He’ll get her to sign the contract giving him complete control of her if it’s the last thing that he does. Of course, the contract is only good until he tires of her since no woman will ever own a part of him. He just wants a “Mistress”. A woman to orgasm on his command, to wear what he chooses and when he chooses, and, when he’s finished, he’ll have complete control over any of her future boyfriends! Well, it was a nice dream. Too bad he picked the wrong woman to try to control.

I don’t want to give too much of this story away. I really want you to read this book and find out the complete truth about Numbnuts and Chubbs. I was thrilled with this book. It was fast, fluid and hot as hell. I loved the pearl thong with the pearls in just the right places to make wearing it interesting. I adored the ending and I only hope that Cat Kelly keeps bringing us such fun, wonderful books as “The Truth About Numbnuts and Chubbs”.
