Description:
Matt Calvin has watched Gina’s beautiful behind sway up and down the doctor’s office hallway once a month for four long years, and it’s time to do something about his fascination. He’s not relationship material, but he doesn’t expect it to get that far. He just wants to talk to her, man to woman, and put himself out of his misery once and for all. Things never go as planned, though, and when fantasy crashes and burns into reality, Gina pays the price.

Gina doesn’t blame Matt for her injury, but she is appreciative when he steps into her crazy life to help out. Proximity fires sudden attraction between them and Gina can’t believe she’s overlooked the sexy carpenter for this long. Tattooed and intimidating, he’s not the type she’s normally drawn to, but something about him tugs at her heartstrings.

When an explosive situation develops and they have to save a little boy, Matt loses control of his tightly held anger. Though his heart aches, Matt walks away, both for Gina’s safety and his own sanity. It’s up to Gina to convince him love can heal any heartache.

A new author to me, I meet J.M at the Naughty Sleepover in San Antonio, TX. Then again at a book signing and was thrilled that she had A Needful Heart with her. I had been holding out on this purestdelightawardbook and was so pleased that not only is it an amazing read but now I have a signed copy. This story will tug at your heart strings, make you smile and will also get you hot and bothered all at the same time.

Matt Calvin is an endearing man; it was hard not to fall in love with him right from the beginning. What he endured as a child has caused him to hold back as an adult. He is large and intimidating but a gentle giant inside, yet he doesn’t see it. For four years he has silently watched Gina Carruthers every time he took his neighbor to the doctor afraid to say anything to her. Yet the one day he gets the never up she literally runs into him and breaks her wrist
.
Gina has always been aware of Matt’s presence but never paid any attention to him. He has always stayed in the shadows and kept to himself. Yet after her accident and his gentle treatment of her even though she sees he thinks it’s his fault she is intrigued more by the large quite man.

As Matt and Gina get to know one another the secrets of his past come out and even more so when her nine year old neighbor shows up hungry, pale and in need. Matt doesn’t know if he can handle his past coming into his present.

Gina was so perfect for Matt; she showed him that it was okay to fight to protect what you loved and how it was to love unconditionally. Their chemistry was raw and honest and Matt, can I just say WOW!!!

This was heart tugging, emotional rollercoaster that is totally worth the plunge. Just make sure you have those tissues ready because at the end you will be left with a pile as well as a satisfied smile.
