Dr. Erin McClure needs a guide who knows every inch of Cajun voodoo country. Enter Teague Comeaux—wild, reckless, with a sharp tracking sense that doesn’t quit. As he leads Erin deep into the steamy reaches of places she never knew existed, she surrenders to the primal longing unleashed by his seductive heat, losing herself in a world of danger, desire, and spirit magic.
Teague might be a renegade with a past built on trouble, but this Louisiana native and bar owner understands the land and the lore better than anybody. He just didn’t plan on falling so hard for Erin. Now he’ll go to desperate lengths to keep her safe—and to allow the power of love to rescue a loner’s heart.

Bayou Heat is a story of lies, voodoo, and irresistible passion. These two people are brought together because of a favor that puts them in a world of danger.
Dr. Erin McClure is in the bayous to fulfill a lifelong goal. She grew up at the feet of her scientist father learning all over the globe, and with tribes that most don’t even know about. Now she is finally getting a once in a lifetime chance to study with the voodoo priestesses, but she has to survive being with her guide first.
Erin meets Teague Comeaux in the most unconventional way. She finds him naked and bleeding in her bathtub the night of her arrival in Louisiana. She knows he is as dangerous as he looks, and is shocked as hell to find out that he is her guide. Can she trust a man the pulled a gun on her, and resist the feelings he stirs in her.
I enjoyed this story, and the fact that the author really respected this area. She really did her research into the Cajun people and their language properly. She didn’t make us sound like total idiots. That isn’t the case always. But one complaint I do have is that it felt like it took a bit to get the story going and grabbing me. I am glad that I stuck it out, because it truly is a good read. I hope y’all enjoy it too.
