I am bouncing on the edge of my seat for the next book in this series! This book took ahold of me and just didn’t let me go! I read it in one sitting. It is plainly just a darn good book. ~ KcLu, Guilty Pleasures

ddlcDescription:
“When it comes down to love or duty, pick a side-and pray your heart survives. ”

Death exists for one purpose and one purpose only: to sever the life-threads of the living. She does her job with pride and an unwavering commitment. Nothing ruffles her. Until she encounters Patrick Watkins.

The Australian lifeguard pushes all her buttons-and makes her tailbone itch like crazy. And when her tailbone itches, it means trouble is brewing. Big trouble.

As far as Patrick’s concerned, everything Death tells him is a load of bull. But what if she’s right? How is he expected to save mankind from the worst fate of all-the Apocalypse? Especially when all he can think about is how quickly he’s falling in love with the most feared Horseman of them all…

“This book was previously published under the title Death, the Vamp and his Brother. ”

Ok I guess I have to start that I am a total fan girl when it comes to Lexxie Couper’s writing, and when I found about this series I put it on my TBR. I didn’t read this one on its original release. But I have to say it is freaking fabulous! I absolutely love the world that she has built here! Also I think I have a girl crush on Death!! 🙂

Death is one horny woman, but she has a majorly important job. She literally holds the lives of atruegemawardevery human in her hands and is the most feared Horse of the Apocalypse. She is in the middle of a job when she encounters the extremely sexy Australian lifeguard, Patrick Watkins. He is one human that she can’t get out of her mind, and her body reacts to him in a way that it hasn’t to a human in a long time if ever. The closer she gets to him the deeper her feelings go, but she has another symptom that gets worse every time too. Her back bone literally itches when she is around him and his brother. And in her world that usually means big trouble brewing.

Patrick is used to the supernatural world. I mean his brother, Ven, is literally a vampire, kinda hard to get too shocked after that. Although he really doesn’t trust the words coming out of Death’s mouth, but he also can seem to keep his hands, mouth, and other extremities off her. (and LAWD get you a fan cause they are smoking HOT together) Can he trust that she truly wants to help him achieve his destiny? And can he stop his heart from giving itself to her??

I am bouncing on the edge of my seat for the next book in this series! This book took ahold of me and just didn’t let me go! I read it in one sitting. It is plainly just a darn good book. The secondary characters play such an important role in this story’s path to the end, and set it up for what promises to be a great series! I really want to get Ven’s story, but have been told that we have to wait a couple of books for it dang it! This smoking hot beauty is definitely going on my reread list!! Hope y’all love it as much as I did! 🙂
