From the very first page to the very end I was afraid to put it down. I was enthralled; captivated with the characters caught up in the suspense and by the end I was shocked and totally invested. ~ Shey, Guilty Pleasures

tinlidDescription:
Blake Brennan had a difficult introduction to life. She lives in a constant state of paranoia, believing that she is the reason those around her get hurt. Her feelings are tested when her past comes back to haunt her and she must choose whether she wants to continue to live in fear or let her heart love freely.

This is part one of a series.

Note: Book contains sexual content and explicit language.

Blown away is what I was with this one; I was totally not prepared for what Claire Contreras had in store when I opened this book. From the very first page to the very end I was afraid to put it down. I atruegemawardwas enthralled; captivated with the characters caught up in the suspense and by the end I was shocked and totally invested and I have to add that although my heart was racing several times I found I had to stop because of the tears.

Blake Brennan, you cannot help but love that girl! The strength the courage she has, the survivor that she is even through her paranoid ways you can’t help but feel what she has been through the loss the death and understand why. She loves those around her so strongly and deeply and would do anything to protect them and keep them safe even if it meant pushing them away.

Cole Murphy, just WOW! How can you not love a man that will give you everything and anything that tells you “I Love you to the moon and back”, I love that! He is gorgeous, arrogant in an almost playful way yet protective and gentle and wants nothing but the best for Blake even when she pushes him.

When Cole and Blake’s past comes crashing into the present its going to take everything Cole has to hold on to Blake to keep her from running from the future even if she thinks it’s to protect him.

This book was beautifully written the secondary characters were absolutely amazing and more than just in the background, collectively they made the story whole. Now comes the hard part the wait, the freaking wait for the second book but I do have it on good authority that it should be out this summer, Hopefully May, hopefully!
