Warning: Extremely sexy shape-shifters that will bring out the animal in you! ~ Kitty, Guilty Pleasures

13515264Description:
The newest member of the elite Feral Warriors brotherhood, Fox is eager to prove himself on the frontlines of battle against the Daemons. When paired with the legendary Ilina warrior, Melisande, he expects the fierce beauty to quickly fall under the spell of his quite considerable charm. Instead, he finds himself spellbound by a woman who’s his match in every way.

Beneath Melisande’s brittle exterior lies centuries of pain and a violent hatred of all shape-shifters—a hatred that slowly crumbles after they’re caught in a deadly and cunning Mage trap and she glimpses a surprising depth in her far-too-seductive partner. Their survival demands unconditional trust—and their salvation surrender to a wild, untamed love.

Warning: Extremely sexy shape-shifters that will bring out the animal in you! Hopefully, you have purestdelightawardread the series leading up to book 7, A Love Untamed. The Feral Warriors are unbelievable and god do I want a mating ceremony like they have!

It’s extremely hard to give a brief synopsis of this book. All the previous books, warriors and their woman are intertwined and makes it a little difficult. But, what made this book so interesting was the pairing of Fox and Melisande. Her hatred of shape-shifters and why are revealed along with the history of other characters.

I was also surprised with the twist in the Feral Warriors, how and why they are marked and the part that the Mage played in bring warriors into the mix who were evil and out to destroy them. The kidnapping of Kara, their Radiant, and her rescue just enforced my love of this series. The trust that grew between Fox and Melisande while they were caught in a Mage trap gave you the feeling of hope. When they finally figure out what they need to do to get out of the trap, face Melisande’s past and fears and save Kara, you cheer.

What did I miss in this book? The back-and-forth bantering between all the Warriors. Everyone is so focused on how to rid themselves of the evil Warriors and figuring out who is good and who is evil along with saving Kara, that something got a little lost between them. Also, the eroticism between Fox and Mel just wasn’t the same. The only thing I could figure is that Fox was written more as a lover, a sensual shape-shifter than an “alpha” male. Of course, this may have been deliberately done since Mel is such an “alpha” female and it would take a lot to gain her trust. She also has issues with sex and her emotions. Ms. Palmer may have decided that a charmer, a gentleman would have been better to pair with Mel.

But, it’s the Feral Warriors and I could never be disappointed with them. They are all strong, sexy males who make you believe in love and the good that really is in this world fighting the bad.
