While I very much enjoyed watching these two figure out their feelings for one another, the ending seemed rushed and there were some issues that went unresolved. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures

“You’re wearing my T-shirt.”
Returning home after a daring rescue mission, all James Wolfe can think of is sleep. So he’s furious to find a beautiful stranger curled up in his king-size bed! Normally no woman ever gets between his sheets without prior invitation—who does she think she is?
Disgraced celebrity Caitlin Moore has been offered a place to stay and she won’t give it up—not with the paparazzi outside, baying for her blood! Reluctantly she agrees to share the apartment with James—but, with enough electricity to short-circuit the whole of Manhattan, keeping to their own sides of the bed might prove impossible.

I’m always fascinated by movies and books where the home owner comes home and there’s someone who shouldn’t be sleeping in his bed. While there’s always a reasonable explanation and I guess some people are okay with staying in a house where they don’t know the occupant very well or at all, me I don’t even really like staying with relatives or close friends. However Caitlin Moore doesn’t have much choice given her limited funds and her need to escape her home country. So when her friend George suggests she stay in the condo he and his brother’s co-own in New York she jumps on the chance. Unfortunately George’s twin, James Wolfe arrives home early and finds her there. After he insults her, he falls on the bed and sleeps the deep sleep of someone who’s had very little in the last three weeks. As there are no on other finished rooms in the house what’s a girl to do but try and relax and get some shut eye.
What I found interesting about this book is both Caitlin and James are famous or infamous for very different reasons. They both have reason to be leery yet they form a strange kind of bond early on. At first they decide they aren’t going to give in to their attraction, this is mainly because James knows he’ll be leaving soon and he doesn’t want any messy complications or his brother George upset with him. However, their good intentions go out the window and they find themselves enjoying a holiday fling. In addition James is showing Caitlin New York as inexpensively as he can because she’s too proud to accept anything from him.
I enjoyed the interplay between these two characters and the fact that despite being in very different situations, they seemed to understand each other well. I liked that they could listen to the other’s problems and listen, offer advice, but not judge. I found James to be quite interesting and way nicer than most people would have been especially in the first chapter or two. Caitlyn on the other hand, I didn’t think much of her early on and while I found her less annoying as the book went on I never really liked her.
While I very much enjoyed watching these two figure out their feelings for one another, the ending seemed rushed and there were some issues that went unresolved. As this appears to be the first book in a trilogy, perhaps those unresolved issues will be tackled in the later books. Whose Bed Is It Anyway was entertaining enough to keep me interested and I’m definitely on board for what happens next with James’ brothers.
