If you have not read any of the other books in this trilogy then please stop here.

I said in my review in Shooting Scars that when the storm finally settled in this last book, BOLD atruegemawardTRICKS, that the “destruction is going to be plenty” and Karina Halle did the ultimate job with that but I don’t think I expected anything less with such amazing characters.

To finally see what lengths Javier would go to that finally brought out the beast inside of him for the entire world to see then to see him as something more. Ms. Halle truly knows how to write a man that knows how to bring the calm before the storm then produce the tornado within the same page and it’s a remarkable site.

I loved Camden in the Shooting Scars and I love him even more now, he didn’t take shit sitting down not from Javier and definitely not from Ellie. Although, trust and forgiveness have always been his biggest weakness they have also been his strongest asset as well. The raw emotion that Karina Halle puts into him when you least expect it shows that even the strongest can fall.

Ellie, sometimes I just didn’t know about her though. She tries so hard, wants to be loved so desperately that even now she still can’t see the destruction that is in front of her until it’s out of control.

Ms. Halle couldn’t have put three better broken people together to make an AMAZING book!! I couldn’t help but laugh, scream, and even walk away at times. Your emotions are set high in this one, you have no idea what the hell Javier is going to do, the sexual tension between Ellie and Camden is so high and the hate is palpable all around. So much is poured into these pages and that is what Karina Halle’s writing is all about!!!
