I felt like I knew both Sam and Olivia by the end of this book.  She wrote them with such style and flair and articulated their feelings so well that you really knew why they were hurting and the loss when they went their separate ways again. ~ Kitty, Guilty Pleasures

Well, the 1st book in the Hotshot Series was exactly that, HOT. Anne Marsh took the job of firefighter and kicked it up a notch to the “Hotshots” then kicked it up another notch with a scorching hot, extremely sexy hero.

Sam Clayton knows how to contain a wildfire with his crew beside him and the Smoke Jumpers in front of him. No doubts about how a fire is going to burn. No doubts about all their abilities to put it out. But, when you throw a sexy FBI Agent into the mix out on a manhunt in the middle of his fire, things could easily burn out of control.

Olivia dreaded going back to where she spent the last summer before leaving for college. She always wondered what happened to her summer fling, Sam Clayton. She fell hard and fast for him but knew that her life and career had to come first so she blocked him out of her heart and head. Now, here she is on the manhunt that will get her the promotion she’s been bucking for within the Bureau in the middle of a raging forest fire hoping to wrap it up before Holm Arthurs kills anyone else when she is pursued and rescued by the one person she really didn’t want to see again.

Forced to spend the night on the mountain together, she tells him that there is no way they are going to pick up where they left off. But, Sam can’t help to wonder what it would feel like to hold her again, love her again. Their passion grows as hot as the forest fire surrounding them until they ignite. But, Holm Arthurs has a surprise in store for both of them – will they survive the attack by Holm? Will they survive the raging inferno around them? Will they survive the aftereffects of the taste of passion that they both had.

Wow … I was really drawn into Reburn. I come from a family of firefighters so I was really able to relate to this book. I have to commend Ms. Marsh and her knowledge of firefighting, hotshots, smoke jumpers and the inner workings of how to put that fire out. She was spot on! So, with that said, I was also intrigued with her characters. I felt like I knew both Sam and Olivia by the end of this book. She wrote them with such style and flair and articulated their feelings so well that you really knew why they were hurting and the loss when they went their separate ways again. But, there was one scene in the book that I had to go back and read 3 times – sorry, I really cannot understand how it is done on a swing. I’m still baffled trying to figure it out. But, it was hot – maybe my mind can’t compute it because I just wanted to keep reading it?
