This is an amazing book!! It truly had me from the first page! I couldn’t put it down. My emotions were tied to Jade’s as if I was living the story with her.  ~ KcLu, Guilty Pleasures

Summertime and the lovin’ is easy…until it’s not.

Too much love and loss taught Jade Compton to protect her heart and her sanity by steering clear of all that romance nonsense. She’s doing just fine, working two jobs, hanging out with her cousins and her best friend, Liam.

But when a combination of unbearable heat wave and a case of the boredom blues knock her down, she longs to do something spontaneous…maybe even a little bit reckless.

Liam Harrison met Jade when she was sixteen—in the local cemetery. If he’s learned anything after eight years of friendship, it’s that Jade has a wild streak a mile wide. And while he doesn’t want to tame the adventurous woman, he wouldn’t mind showing her a few sexy ways to channel some of her impulsiveness. With him. In the bedroom.

When he proposes a sexy, no-strings-attached summer fling, Jade jumps at the chance to spice things up and indulge some pretty kinky fantasies. Then summer ends…and Jade comes to the uncomfortable realization that there’s only one place she’s comfortable in her own skin—Liam’s arms.

Warning: Excessive heat in this story—in the bedroom, the barn, the kitchen, the bar. Drink lots of water. Stay hydrated!

These Compass girls take after their parents big time!! Is it any shock to us that the daughter of atruegemawardLeah and Sawyer would have a strong submissive/masochist side?? I have to say that this book has quickly become my favorite of the girl’s books so far. Those who have heard me talk about the Compass brothers series know that Silas is my number one and Sawyer is my number two. Those books hold a big chunk of my heart, and I have to say this spin off series is living up to the love I have for the originals. Highly recommended!!

Jade Compton met Liam when she was just 16 years old, and they were both very vulnerable, as most people who visit a cemetery are but they weren’t there during normal viewing hours. They both happened to be there in the middle of the night. The bond that came from that night was a lifelong friendship. So she didn’t expect much more than a big laugh when she kissed him outside the bar she works at kind of in a blow off steam/joking way. That is not how that kiss went off at all. When she ignites a fiery passion in both of them that could have led to much more had they not pulled back. That one kiss has her avoiding the best friend she has ever had, and he isn’t happy about it. He is determined to have her as his own now. He sees that a part of him has always been waiting for Jade, and he will stop at nothing to make her his own. He propositions her with a summer fling, and it is an offer that she can’t turn down, although she makes him work hard to get her to agree. He gives her a taste of the submission/pain she has longed for, and she can’t help but want more of it.

This is an amazing book!! It truly had me from the first page! I couldn’t put it down. My emotions were tied to Jade’s as if I was living the story with her. It isn’t every book that makes you tear up in the first chapter. I love this series soo much. The continuing decline of Vicky hurts my heart, and I have to say I cornered Jayne Rylon about Vicky. (and I’m not telling what she told me .. hehehe) I read this book right after a complete reread of the Brothers’ books. I literally went from Sawyer’s book to Jades, and oh the tissues I used!! I highly recommend all of these books!! If you haven’t read the originals, snatch those suckers up!! And for the love of all that is holy don’t stop till you finish this one!! 🙂
