I absolutely LOVED Breakable, I didn’t know if it would ever top Easy because the first time I had read it I loved Lucas and Jacqueline, well Breakable for me, blows Easy away. ~ Cheyenne, Guilty Pleasures

17936925Description:
He was lost and alone. Then he found her.
And the future seemed more fragile than ever.

As a child, Landon Lucas Maxfield believed his life was perfect and looked forward to a future filled with promise — until tragedy tore his family apart and made him doubt everything he ever believed.

All he wanted was to leave the past behind. When he met Jacqueline Wallace, his desire to be everything she needed came so easy…

As easy as it could be for a man who learned that the soul is breakable and that everything you hoped for could be ripped away in a heartbeat.

I absolutely LOVED Breakable, I didn’t know if it would ever top Easy because the first time I had purestdelightawardread it I loved Lucas and Jacqueline, well Breakable for me, blows Easy away. Breakable is in Lucas’ POV and runs along the same time as Easy but it also gives you the story of his past. Now another book I loved did the same thing and for me I wasn’t impressed with the story being retold in the male’s POV so I will admit when I agreed to read and review this I prayed to the book gods that Ms. Webber would not make me regret wanting this book as much as I did and she didn’t, she blew me away. I cried more than I ever did in Easy.

You knew in Easy that Lucas had a past and that it was tragic but you could have no idea everything he did and lived through before he found Jacqueline. My heart broke for Lucas. He could have gone down a completely different path and never found his happiness. I wanted to get ahold of Lucas and just give him the love he needed when he was going through his own personal hell. Luckily he had a friendship that in it’s weird own way kept him from crossing a line he wouldn’t be able to come back from. You also are able to see the relationship with Professor Heller and why he means more to Lucas than just a family friend. I loved seeing his reactions to when he first meets Jacqueline and seeing him fall in love with her even when he knows he shouldn’t. What they have is so beautiful.

Breakable is one that even days after finishing I can’t get out of my mind. I could have read even more about Lucas and Jacqueline and not get enough. Be prepared to fall completely in love with Lucas and wish you had him for your own because this is one bad boy who is oh so good. Make sure if you haven’t for some unknown reason read Easy yet, please read it first and then dive right into Breakable and see why something that is broken can be healed when you have real love on your side.
