Full Throttle was a pleasant surprise with some plot twists that had me turning the pages wanting to find out the who, what, when and why. ~ Kitty, Guilty Pleasures
Description:
When self-professed geek and high school math teacher, Sammy Briars, decides it’s time to live life, she means it. Desperate to put her father’s harsh words behind her, and armed with determination and her life savings, Sammy buys the motorbike she has always dreamed of.
Excited by speed, fast engines, and leather-wearing men, Sammy finds herself in the company of kindred throttle-junkies who know how to live. And in the arms of the hottest biker of all.
Josh Grieve agrees to take his elder brother’s bike-touring group on a biking weekend, expecting to see the countryside from the seat of his favorite Suzuki and the chance to kick back from his busy schedule. What Josh doesn’t expect is for his life to be turned inside out by a timid, intelligent woman who rocks a set of bike leathers.

Another new author for me and I lucked out on this one. And, no, it’s not really an MC story even though there are motorcycles involved along with one hot man in leathers. In fact, I’m kind of glad that it isn’t since the genre is now being inundated. Full Throttle was a pleasant surprise with some plot twists that had me turning the pages wanting to find out the who, what, when and why.
Yea, there’s a little mystery behind this love story and it really kept me spellbound. Sammy and Josh are just two opposites that really should not be attracted to each other. C’mon, she’s a math teacher and he owns his own company. A Nerd and a Hottie – timid and shy to his brash and ballsy – the classic opposites attract scenario. But, work together they do … extremely well! In and out of the bedroom.
Josh had me hot from the minute I opened the book and he just kept getting hotter as it went on. Yea, there were parts where I wanted to tell him to “man up” already and Sammy needed to stop the blushing/stuttering. And, man, when Josh went for it with Sammy, he went all out … nothing was stopping him, not even a broken leg. Rachel just irritated me – just mind your own business. But, I guess, once the story unfolded, you understood why she was like she was. Still, she really needed to butt – out! And, I really did enjoy the storyline and was surprised with how it turned out.
The story did move along at a decent pace and was very well written. The English Countryside just pops out at you and you could just picture the little country inns that they stay in. Yes, very well written with just the right amount of fluff, sex and mystery. As I said, Kerrianne Coombes is a new author to me and I am really looking forward to seeing who is in and where Revved, 2 would be going. There wasn’t much of a storyline left open at the end to give me any hints. Well, I have an idea where I would like to see it go. And, if it’s who I think it is … yea, I’ll definitely be reading it.
Thanks Kitty
