The one thing I do know after reading this book is that I went in to it on a total book high from what I had been reading and my high was sustained by this book and I have yet another author to keep my eye on because Samantha Ann King is a brilliant storyteller. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures
Description:
Astrophysicist Meredith Burke’s professional life is perfect. Her personal life is another story. Years ago, a menage with the man she loved and his roommate left her with a broken heart and a secret. She hasn’t trusted anyone since, but when she meets rugged hunting guide Charlie Connor she figures she doesn’t need to. He’s got “one-night stand” written all over him.
After one night with Meredith, Charlie needs more. She’s intoxicating, and shockingly willing to give him total control of her body. When she agrees to spend an entire week with him at the lodge where he works, it’s more than he’d hoped for. But Blaine Bridges, Charlie’s best friend and boss, has his own secrets.
Blaine hasn’t seen Meredith since that disastrous encounter eight years ago, but he still has feelings for her. Now she’s dating his best friend, the man he wants for himself. When Meredith invites him to join in their naughty play, his pleasure is all-consuming. But will the secrets they all hold close destroy a beautiful beginning or bring these three lovers closer than they ever imagined?

The more books I read featuring ménage the more I’ve come to realize that I find M/M/F ménage to be more realistic. I just have a hard time when two men are that physically close and don’t “feel” something for the other
guy and the more I think about it the more I think that situation is a little strange. Tempting Meredith is one of the best ménage stories I have read in a long time. I loved so much about this book; the fact that it didn’t start out as a ménage, the fact that the heroine has a background with one of the heroes, the fact that one of the men had to come to terms with feelings he had but didn’t recognize, and the fact that not one part of this story was easy. This isn’t one of those books that everything was wrapped up in a nice, neat little package and even though this book ends well, we know these three still have obstacles to overcome. The one thing I do know after reading this book is that I went in to it on a total book high from what I had been reading and my high was sustained by this book and I have yet another author to keep my eye on because Samantha Ann King is a brilliant storyteller.
This is one of those books that pulled me in from the start and I simply couldn’t put it down. The plot was complex; there were a lot of subplots that ran through this story and while they could have bogged down this story they added to it making it even more in depth and intriguing.
Meredith Burke has been too smart for her own good most of her life. As an astrophysicist many people have often looked and her and assumed she got by on her looks until she opens her mouth. Intelligent beyond words, Meredith refuses to let herself get too close to anyone fearing she’ll never recover after a college indiscretion changed her life forever.
Meredith meets Charlie and plans on using him for a little bit of sexy fun but Charlie has other ideas. The thing is Charlie totally had Meredith’s number; he knew she was easily spooked and he knew when to back off and when to push. I love, love how he took her out of her comfort zone and helped her to understand that what she wanted, no needed, wasn’t outrageous or bad. When Blaine enters the picture Meredith’s hackles go up because of an event that happened eight years prior. I give Blaine a lot of credit for having Meredith’s back, for refusing to talk to Charlie in more than general terms, for backing off when he needed to, and for smoothing things over to help her come to terms with seeing him again.
Without going into a lot of detail I just want to say that these three had to take quite the journey to get to the place where they were all comfortable with what was happening between them. There were obstacles for them to overcome, some pretty big, but I respected the fact that they worked through them together. These men flat out refused to let Meredith shrink away; they made her understand that they were there for her no matter what happened in the past or what the future would bring.
Emotionally gripping, intensely erotic, and thoroughly well written Tempting Meredith is high on my list of favorite ménage stories ever. After reading this book, I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next because I’ll be first in line to buy it!
