Yes, I have been in awe of the writings of Ryan Winfield since I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing South of Bixby Bridge. He has a way with words, of bringing a story together that is beautiful, heart-wrenching and loving. The continuing story of Jane and Caleb is also interspersed with the poetry of Mr. Winfield which will bring you to your knees. Oh, how I wish I could hear Caleb sing the songs that he’s written … just the thought of his soulful, rich voice puts butterflies in my stomach and an ache in my heart.
Love pours from the pages of Jane’s Harmony. From the beginning of the story, even though Jane was dealt a rough hand in life, you know she is full of hope for her and Caleb. She knows that they are soul-mates and that they will stand beside each other through the good times and the bad. She has humor when it’s needed, support for his career and the security to let him spread his wings and fly.
Caleb knew that Jane was his from the minute he laid eyes on her. She broke his heart and then mended it back together for him. He will do anything in his power to give her the life that she deserves. Both of them have had troubled pasts and both of them know that they would be nothing without the other. When his big break in the music business comes, he has some major decisions to make. Will he allow the big music producers to ruin his music, run his life, and possibly take Jane away from him?
Decisions are made … life changes. Jane and Caleb find the peace that they both so deserve. The happy medium, the happy ending that had me misty eyed and sad knowing that we probably won’t meet with either of them again. But, as you go through the ups and downs, the doubts and troubles, you know that they are old friends that will welcome you with open arms and be there for you to visit whenever you want to.

A fabulous review. I’ve read everything Ryan has published so far and my copy of Jane’s Harmony is waiting for me to read. I can’t wait to get started 🙂
