I liked the story between Frankie and Phillip. I was drawn into their world immediately. I loved that they both went after what they wanted, each other.
Both Phillip and Frankie are having a bit difficulty with their careers. Instead of fighting on the front lines, Phillip has been sidelined. He has to work behind the scenes training and teaching the SEAL team. Something he isn’t keen on doing.
Frankie hit a roadblock in creativity and inspiration. She is unable to continue her work and is forced back home, trying to gain her footing.
To distract them from their careers, they lose themselves in each other. They are able to find solace for a while but both are having a tough time truly trusting each other.
I think the author did a good job portraying the internal struggles of the characters. How letting go, for just a short time can change your heart and mind. I did get a bit tired of the back and forth relationship. Wish they found love sooner.
