An excellent cast of characters that will charm you, a plot that throws a monkey wrench into 5 and 10 year plans, panty dropping sizzling sex scenes, and two stubborn people learning to yield once in a while makes this one entertaining and sexy story. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures

There’s something special when two people are made for each other and that’s exactly how I feel
about the hero and heroine in Marie Harte’s Ruining Mr. Perfect. Both are goal oriented, financial geniuses, exercise fiends, and health conscious. They pretty much are perfect for one another except they both like to be right and they both have some issues stemming from their childhoods. An excellent cast of characters that will charm you, a plot that throws a monkey wrench into 5 and 10 year plans, panty dropping sizzling sex scenes, and two stubborn people learning to yield once in a while makes this one entertaining and sexy story.
Cameron McCauley is cut from a different cloth than his brothers and his father. He respects them immensely but Cam is more of a thinker and while he appreciates the work they do it was never something he wanted for himself. He’s always gone after what he wants but he’s held back from Vanessa the beautiful blond that moved in next door to his oldest brother but after a shared kiss on Christmas day he’s decided it is time to make a move problem is Vanessa is tough and prickly and he knows he has to approach her just right in order to finally go after what he wants.
I loved watching these two come together and begin to figure out how right they were for one another. Because of their shared interests they just meshed but their competitive sides reared up occasionally giving them grief. To top it off Cameron has always felt like he needed to prove himself to everyone so at times he pushes a little too hard and Vanessa grew up devoid of human contact and emotion so she is completely self sufficient which makes it difficult for her to let anyone do anything for her and for her to trust they will do it. At times she drove me a little crazy but I really did understand her issues.
This author always writes hot, steamy, down and dirty sex scenes and these two tear up the sheets and pretty much every available surface. The problem is they often use sex to get out of having discussions they need to have because they both realize how easily the other becomes distracted.
While the majority of this book is Cameron and Vanessa trying to navigate the relationship waters there are a couple of other side stories going on which just adds to an already fantastic book. One of the stories directly impacts Cameron and Vanessa as they both feel they were right in the way they handled the situation.
From the very first book I have been in love with the McCauley family and these characters. Ruining Mr. Perfect was an amazing addition to a strong series but I’m putting it out there, I can’t WAIT to see what happens next because I have a feeling the next book is going to be even better.
