Candace Blevins has intrigued me from the first word that I have read of hers. She has a way of bringing the BDSM world to life, of bringing the reader into subspace along with her submissive. ~ Kitty, Guilty Pleasures
Description:
The wedding is four months away, and Ethan has promised to train Sam to handle a planned honeymoon activity. He’s calculated the math to figure out her goals each week. When she reaches the weekly target she gets a massage and lots of fun orgasms. But if she doesn’t, it’s the stainless steel cane.
All this along with navigating her clients’ drama, planning a wedding, dealing with her mother while planning the wedding, and having lots and lots of wild and kinky sex.
And we haven’t even mentioned the bachelorette party.
Warning: This title contains graphic language, consensual BDSM some may find objectionable, anal sex, bondage, and the use of toys including crops, clips, clamps, plugs, and gags.
Ethan and Sam have intrigued me from the beginning of Safeword: Matte. Candace Blevins has intrigued me from the first word that I have read of hers. She has a way of bringing the BDSM world to life, of bringing the reader into subspace along with her submissive.
Ethan and Sam are an interesting couple and I am thrilled that she is bringing the reader through their relationship … from start to finish. We’ll see an HEA for them but, in the meantime, we get to enjoy Ethan getting Sam ready for their Honeymoon. What better way to do that than stretching her until her ass can take him …. but, along the way, we also get to see more of what makes both of them tick and why they are as devoted to each other as they are.
Sam’s training schedule is brutal with punishments to fit each of the crimes. But, the end result will benefit both of them. Ethan doesn’t do anything that will not, eventually, bring them both pleasure. The Honeymoon proves to be interesting, to say the least. Sam also is finding more triggers along the way … as she realizes that anal play, getting ready to take the plugs and stretching, is a turn on for her. I guess Ethan has another toy to play with.
We also see how both of them handle the meeting of the families. How prejudices can come between a family. How Sam stands up for who she loves and his family with her mother. How very subtle Ethan can be when he defends the love of his life and lays down the law. How prejudices can be totally dispelled with just meeting and learning about the people that you are prejudice towards.
We know that Candace will bring us to an ending that will leave us both happy and satisfied. Her descriptions of BDSM and the protocols behind it, helps the Vanilla reader better understand the dynamics in a D/s relationship. Kudos on that, Candace. Nothing that I have read by Candace Blevins has left me with the feeling of it being written for “shock” value or “sex” value. I’ve always come away with a better understanding of this life, of what a Submissive goes through in making the decision to place her trust in one man; on a Dominant and what he/she goes through in determining what is best for the Sub and living up to the responsibility of the Sub’s well-being. With that said, on to the Honeymoon.
