A fast and fun read; Hollywood on Tap was flirty, somewhat crazy, but it was also sexy and well written. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures

For years, Sean O’Dell has hidden his past as a Hollywood heartthrob from everyone at the Sweet Salvation Brewery. However, the arrival of nosey efficiency expert Natalie Sweet threatens the status quo. It doesn’t help that with her glasses, buttoned-up sweaters and always pulled-back hair that she’s uncovered one secret already: His attraction for hot librarian types.

Natalie has had enough of the strong-and-silent Sean submarining her efforts to change the brewery for the better. She’s ready to do whatever it takes to make her vision a reality, even if that means taking down the pig-headed and too-hot-for-his-own-good brewmaster.

Sizzling attraction battles stubborn determination as Natalie and Sean go head to head in a battle that’s anything but business as usual.

I’ve got to give Avery Flynn props for a thoroughly entertaining plot in Hollywood On Tap even though when you lay it all out it sounds like some strange MTV reality television show set up. An ex-actor hiding out in small town Virginia becomes a brewmaster in a family brewery, one of the new owners (one of three triplets) with anxiety issues returns to help get the brewery running efficiently, crazy sabotages putting employees at risk, a crazy ex-employee, and a tabloid reporter trying to hunt down the former ex-actor…I mean come on you have to admit it sounds a little over the top but that’s just the thing it doesn’t read that way.

All Sean O’Dell wants to do is make beer and maybe even win a contest or two for his brew. The last thing he wants to do is sit down with Natalie Sweet and her pages of ideas to make the brewery more efficient and he certainly doesn’t want to think about undoing all the little buttons on her sweater and diving in for some fun. Natalie is persistent and while she wants nothing more than to prove to Sean that her ideas are good they find themselves with bigger problems they must deal with immediately.

I’m going to admit I love the thought of a big Oscar winning star walking away from it all and disappearing into a new life. Sean was one of those characters I truly enjoyed and I especially love the way he wouldn’t let Natalie take over and push him out of her life. Natalie was a piece of work and at times drove me a little bit nuts but I like that Sean accepted all of her and kind of balanced out her crazy. I really loved the wildness and spontaneity of their intimate moments and their discussion of how to get around sexual harassment with Natalie being Sean’s boss.

A fast and fun read; Hollywood on Tap was flirty, somewhat crazy, but it was also sexy and well written.
