Yes! Casey has her story … and what a story it was. I was so afraid that I would be disappointed because I so wanted Casey to fall and fall hard … get her comeuppance and I was afraid that the character written to bring her to her knees wouldn’t be strong enough to do it realistically. Boy, did Sawyer Bennett write a character that was not only stronger than Casey but knew just what to do to bring her down. Tenn Jennings … didn’t see this coming!
Reading the first chapter of the book, the first thing that popped into my mind was “oh, boy, she wouldn’t”. Well, she did. She wrote a biker boy to bring our Casey back to reality. To open her heart to love again. I so thought that it would be some classy billionaire that could give her the world and rock her world. But, as the story unfolds, you’ll find out that I was not too far off the mark.
We finally find out what made Casey the woman she is today. Gabby is back with her sass and straight-forward opinions. Hunter and Brody are just as fun and in full big-brother mode. But, Tenn is not going to back down. He knows what and who he wants. It’s time to start his life and it’s not in Wyoming but in a little town in the Outer Banks. Now, to get Casey on board with everything before he lets her in on his biggest secret. Will she or won’t she bolt?
It was fantastic watching the transformation of Casey into the woman that we all knew she would be. She was finally fun, easy-going and open to the possibility of letting go of the past and looking forward to the future. But, in classic Casey fashion, when it happens, it’s all systems go. No waiting, no worrying, just do it! Tenn proved her wrong time and time again and he couldn’t be happier that she accepted everything about him …. even if he did fit her mold of the kind of man she didn’t want.
Sawyer Bennett brought Casey to life. She gave her a man that could catch her when she fell and support her in whatever bad decisions she could make. Yes, I love all the men in this series. They are strong, powerful, loving, caring … knew when to be sexy, when to be loving, when to be over-powering but also when to be soft and caring. They hold their own to the woman that are definitely made to compliment them but fight them at every turn. She writes characters with a heart and soul and brings us to a happily-ever-after that fits right with the couple. There was no disappointment with the way she brought this book to a close. It just fit who Casey and Tenn were … see it, want it, get it, do it!
Sounds good…thanks Kitty
