I so think I’m going to love Lobster Cove and all of its residents! I love the idea of a town that is
bought and in order to live there you must be GLBT tolerant, where do I sign up? This is the first book in a new series by Carol Lynne and I can tell it’s going to be a fast favorite for me.
Following the death of his Mom, Boone Jensen is moving to Lobster Cove, Maine with his younger brother whom he has custody of. He’s moving for a fresh start, for the fact that the town is gay friendly and thus he’s hoping they will be tolerate of his brother, Laddy who has Down’s Syndrome. A stonemason by trade, Boone has put everything he has into this move and his first job is to do the rock work at a local restaurant by a new to the area chef. Little does he know that working for Dante Madia will bring him more than the work he needs to stay afloat.
After being betrayed by his business partner Dante is ready to get out of New York City and on to Lobster Cove and having his best friend and “little sister” Ava along makes it that much better but things really get interesting when he meets Boone the man he hired to do some work on his restaurant.
I got a kick out of how much these two men wanted each other from the start but both were a little nervous about making the first move. Once they did, I loved Boone’s honesty about his expectations because he knows it’s not just him anymore, he has to make sure whoever he brings into his life accepts Laddy as well. Dante has issues stemming from his past and while he enjoys every minute he spends with Boone he feels that love isn’t for him. Both men are stubborn and both need a little push to see the error of their ways and once they do its full speed ahead with some hot (literally) sexy times!
I enjoyed “meeting” some of the town’s residents and watching everyone get settled into their new lives and this tolerant town. Entertaining and sexy Welcome To Lobster Cove was a great start to a new series. I think there will be some fascinating stories coming down the line and I’m looking forward to them all.
