Sometimes all it takes is the right person to change your world and when that happens life is pretty damn perfect. ~ Slick, Guilty Pleasures
Description:
Professional cowboy and alpha to the tenth power, Wade Long is intent on showing billionaire CeCe Cole who’s boss in and out of the bedroom.
It’s all good until he realizes he wants her for the long haul, not just the short go. But how can a working class Texan traveling the pro bull riding circuit and a spoiled rich California CEO make it work?

After the last book in Cat Johnson’s Studs in Spurs series, Spurred, I’ll admit I wasn’t sure how I would like Wrecked knowing the heroine in this book was to put it nicely, a real piece of work and not a very nice person. But as Ms. Johnson has done before she managed to change my perception by allowing this character to grow, change and find the happiness that has been missing in her life. Texas bull fighter Wade Long shows ex-super model and billionaire CeeCee Cole that she might be in charge in the boardroom but she’s got a lot to learn about having a strong man in her bedroom in this sassy, smart and sexy story.
I love it when a confirmed bachelor finds himself bowled over by a woman especially one that seems so far out of his league. Better yet, I love when that same woman is completely intrigued by a man that cuts her absolutely no slack something she is very unfamiliar with in her life. Sparks fly the first time these two meet and to be honest they never let up. This is one smoking hot couple and while they go into their association assuming it will be a one night thing, that night turns into several days and leaves them both wanting more but refusing to accept or admit it. With both Wade and CeeCee having a bad marriage in their past they are relationship gun shy but the more time they spend together the more they begin to see all the little things that made the other special and let me just say they had no problem connecting physically, nope…not one little bit, not at all.
It was interesting watching CeeCee reevaluate her live after spending several days with Wade and it wasn’t because of anything he said it was because of his actions and his outlook on life. I respected that she began to examine how her divorce had affected the way she treated others and her self-centered actions and made some great strides in improving not only her own life but the lives of others. Having feelings towards CeeCee really took Wade by surprise and he questioned how he’d ever fit in her life but as it became clear she was important to him he not only shut down some pretty nasty rumors about her but he also realized that she was worth taking a chance on.
It was easy to get wrapped up in Wrecked and despite my reservations I could not be happier about the way this story ended. Sometimes all it takes is the right person to change your world and when that happens life is pretty damn perfect.
