This author has a lot of room for improvement and I could see there being better stories from her down the road. ~ Afrodyt, Guilty Pleasures

Afrodyt-Avatar---Box

Crystal has just left a horrible, abusive marriage. After moving in with her recently widowed best friend, Mollie, she works to get her life back on track. Mollie decided to take her to a bondage club for her birthday where Crystal meets the owners Trent and Mac. These guys are former lawyers who have found their niche running their club, Kinks, and also enjoy sampling their customers on occasion. They both begin wooing Crystal immediately and sexual energy flares up between the three of them. With little fanfare and much haste they engage in a ménage within the first hour of meeting. It is, of course, her first time doing this sort of thing and hell, it’s her birthday, why not?

Here’s the deal: if you just want to pull out your BOB and keep your mind active while you get off, this novel will get the job done. Any effort at a plot really just came across as being filler between the next sex scene. I never thought I’d complain about something like this, but they literally have sex in every chapter. I mean every.single.one in different combinations (Trent/Crystal, Mac/Crystal, Trent/Crystal/Mac) and locations. There was even a scene that was clearly lifted almost verbatim from an early chapter to a later one. Before and after the sex, and even during it, in their heads, they each profess deep feelings for each other that seem so inappropriate because the time-frame of the story just didn’t allow for feelings so deep so quickly. Especially from a woman fresh out of a physically, emotionally and verbally abusive relationship. This author has a lot of room for improvement and I could see there being better stories from her down the road. This novel, however, was predictable, superficial, and a chore to read.
