A companion (alternate POV) novel to the USA Today bestselling book, Leo.

Does everyone deserve a second chance? Even someone who lies and deceives to get it?

Do we all have a second chance coming? Even if we play a part in our own destruction?

How hard would you fight to have a second chance at love? A second chance at life? Another chance to tell your own story?

Every love story has two sides. Evie told hers. This time it’s Leo’s chance.

THIS IS A POV NOVEL OF LEO (LEO SHOULD BE READ FIRST). New Adult Contemporary Romance: Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

I originally planned to read Leo’s Chance almost immediately after finishing Leo, but then I decided Ipurestdelightaward wanted to wait. I waited because I wanted to go into his side fresh, and not be influenced by the previous book. Now I have had hit or miss when it comes to reading a book that is redone in the male’s POV, I love getting the males version but some authors are just not able to make it work. Mia Sheridan made it work beautifully.

My poor, poor Leo. He made me cry over and over again. I knew reading his side was going to be just as emotional if not more than Evie’s was and I was so right. Leo wanted to be the person Evie needed him to be, even if it meant lying to her when he sees her again. He felt that he would never be good enough after what he went through and did, not knowing that Evie would have loved him if she would have been given the chance from the start. Leo was a victim. I think it is sad that most people may not view a teenage boy being taken advantage of by a woman as abuse, but it is. Especially when that woman is the one who is supposed to protect you from harm. Did he react the correct way by acting out? No but I also think that he really just wanted to be loved even if it was wrong. Reading the version of Leo’s not only shredded my heart for the pain he felt and the time he lost with Evie, but it opened my eyes that abuse doesn’t always mean an adult male and a child, it can be an adult female as well.

Mia Sheridan has the ability to draw her reader’s emotions out, how to pull the tears from our eyes with words written on paper or a screen. She makes you cry, smile, angry, laugh and does it over and over again. I know when I read one of her books that I will be going on an emotional rollercoaster ride, one that I will willingly ride over and over again. Her books are beautiful in showing that even through pain, love and happiness can conquer all when you have the right person in your life.
